Thanks for your support guys, i really appreciate it! Things are starting to get back to normal around here, altho we still have little things that upset us all the time! Matt is back at work, school is back next week. Weekends are hard tho, cos we wait to hear his car coming up the driveway! He was out here all the time, just dropping in whenever he had the energy, but he was ALWAYS here over the weekend to see Jorja cos she would miss him during the week while at school!

Anyway, i am back scrapping! I have done a couple of layouts just cos, to get me back in the groove, and will be back into the race challenges tonight! I have a couple to catch up on!

My apologies Vicki, I have only just returned to the Forum and heard your sad news. I hope it's of some small consolation for you to know that I'm thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. I hope the wonderful memories of the times you shared will provide you comfort.

I also must apologise for being absent for the past 2 weeks. We were away for the last week of the holidays (Mudgee, rural NSW with no internet access) and then straight back to work. It's only now that I've had time to try to catch up with the chat and the challenges. Thanks Vicki for adding me to the North American and European lists. I actually completed Detour 2 before Mudgee and had most of Antartic done too - just had to get the photos printed for that. Hopefully I can play catch-up and get them both up-loaded tonight.

You girls have been going great guns in the meantime! So much creativity and colour brimmming from the great layouts you've shared. It's interesting to see people's style emerge too, with each page you upload it seems I get to know you all a little better and share something of your lives. It's a great experience to be part of this race!

Hi all - sorry I have been 'away' for so long. I am floating around though checking out everyones LOs from my phone....Just so difficult to write on there. I still can not believe the amount of wonderful LOs that are being created and I must admit, I cant help a little smile to think that I played a small part in inspiring some of them.

Things here are crazy busy - yet I have nothing in particular happening. Life these days is crazy. I wonder if it is that time of year where I get out a bit more. Walking the dogs at night seems suddenly so much easier and going for a picnic with the kids is easier. Last weekend here we had a childrens fair that was put on by our local council. We ventured out and had a wonderful time.....yep our council who is renouned for being a bunch of twats (excuse the terminology) did a great job. I know if I was a kid I would of loved it.

I am being spoilt to a girls weekend away this weekend. A friend won/or got hold of somehow a free 1 and half hour session for 6, at Lush in Melbourne. So 6 of her friends - including me are heading down Saturday morning for some relaxation, food, wine, shopping and sleeping. Should be fun. I will try to get some pics.

Well, better run. Have some people coming for lunch - soon. Actually very soon, they were due at 12ish. Hope everyone is well and is still enjoying the challenges.

Amanda Jane....isn't Mudgee near Wagga? A scrappy friend of mine lives in Wagga and if I am correct sells stuff at the Mudgee Markets. Did you get there? If so - was it good - I might have to make a trip there myself one day.

Im headed there for 3 days the following weekend! If only we could have co-ordinated our weekends! I'm going for a Jazzercise convention with a girlfriend We are going to have fun shopping and drinking too, amongst the exercise : )

Woo hoo, I survived the first week of the HSC and the first week of uni exams! My poor possums have been so stressed out and studying so hard - they now say they're brain dead. Only 1 week of uni left but still 2 weeks of HSC; I'm praying that the possums survive it all too.
I am actually off to a Halloween 12 x 12 (12 midday to 12 midnight) scrap very soon so I am going to catch up on the challenges and start making Christmas cards! i am on a mission!

I finally got a chance to scrap my France LO - yay! I think it may be the longest I've ever spent on one LO or maybe it just feels that way because I started with one idea and midway through I abandoned it and began again. But I now now that if you want coloured texture you need gel medium not texture paste (unless of course you're happy for your colour to be diluted by the white base of the texture paste).

It's very quiet at my house today. My daughter left this morning for a week long band tour and my husband has taken my son to view the show and shine - part of the HOG convention that's on in town this weekend. I don't think I've ever seen so many Harleys in one place (or old blokes on bikes lol).

I got home on Sunday from my weekend away....we had lots of fun...really very enjoyable. Will post some pics if I get a chance. For those on f/b I will definitely be putting some there. Now back to the real world....not fair that the relaxation has to end. :S

Woohoo Mojo took a leading edge in the race, and the head cold took a back step, so I managed to get my stop 4 and 5 uploaded today!!!

Onto the Roadblock, after a sleep and a birthday celebration, my baby turns 19 tomorrow!!!

<<<< this emoticon sums up how I feel I have been around here lately - in and out, quickly and a quick hello. I mean where does the time go? I have been so busy lately - but busy doing nothing. :O

I feel like it has been months since i have been here...but no...not even two weeks away and I am missing you all. I keep having plans to scrap - but it just doesn't happen...grrrr.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying all the challenges that I am so missing.....have you had a favourite? I know I really wanted to take some photos for the photo challenge and I somehow completely missed the whole week.

i wanted to do the photo challenge......but really just had no idea so did the layout instead..........my fave so far is the peru one but obviously havent done it yet........

You still have til Monday to load pics ant! Could be a good time waster for the weekend!

I could try...photos will have to be on my old camera though...or phone.....I gave Ray my camera. I figured getting a guided tour through the pits at Phillip Island warranted some pictures.

Enjoyed my Detour and Stop 6, and even got creative with gesso, distress inks....oh my hands are stained but I have had a creative afternoon....thanks for the inspiration bring on the next challenge already!!!
