Race basics and extras:
So you've probably been wondering how our amazing race will be run. The Race will start on the 1st of September and finish at the end of November.

Although our amazing race has similar aspects to the TV amazing race concept, there are differences too. Our race is a non eliminative race. I.E. you will not be eliminated from the race for not being able to complete all the challenges. Participants can join in the race at any time. However you are encouraged to complete as many of the challenges as possible to increase your chances in the major prize draw.

A different continent with country/continent information will be released each Saturday. In continents where there are multiple country check in's you will be given 2 days to sign in for the country of your choice. The criteria will then be revealed for each country and you will have 9 days to complete each challenge.

Prizes, the awarding of tickets and rules:

There will be individual prizes for each country or continent, detour or road block. The individual challenges will be voted by the GDT and the DT and the winner will be awarded the prize specified in the challenge write up.

The major prize aspect of the race is based on a tickets system.

If you complete the individual continent within the given time frame you will be awarded 2 tickets.

If you complete the challenge after the given time frame but still manage to upload your layout before the race ends you will be awarded 1 ticket.

Entries for the detour/road block challenges need to be uploaded within the specified time frame to be eligible for a ticket. If you get to do this within the time frame then 1 ticket will be awarded.

At the end of the race all tickets will go into a barrel draw. The 3 major prizes-1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be drawn at random from the barrel.
