Challenge rules and regulations:

Every good race needs a few rules

General challenge rules:

The amazing race is open to all members of Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia.

The race is a non eliminative race. I.E there will be no eliminations along the way for not completing all challenges. However the Design team does have the right to eliminate participants from the race for breeching the rules.

Each participant is allowed only one entry per challenge.

SBT50 design team members are eligible to join in the challenges, however will not be considered for prizes during the race. SBT50 guest design team members are eligible to participate and be will be considered for all prizes during the race.

International SBT50 members are most welcome in the race. However we apologise that we can not guarantee that you will be eligible for all prizes. Due to postage issues with some prizes


Submission rules:

All submissions must be original designs intended for the given challenge.

Submissions cannot be posted, submitted or entered for any other website or competition until the race is over and winners have been annouced.

Each contestant guarantees that their submission is not duplicated from any other publication, individual or copyrighted work.

Publication to personal blogs and facebook pages with a link back to Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia is definately allowed and encouraged

Submission of layouts for publication is not allowed until the race is completed!


Eligibility and uploading of submissions:

Layouts must either be 12x12 or 8.5x11 in size unless otherwise indicated. No smaller layouts can be entered. However a set of 3 cards with each of the cards meeting all of the criteria will be accepted too.

Digital layouts as most welcome.

All submissions need to meet the criteria of the challenge in order to be awarded points for the major prize draw and also to be eligible for judging for the challenge prize.

When uploading your submissions to the gallery please specify in the image description how you have met each criteria for the challenge. Eg. I have used a red coloured button to meet the red criteria.


Judging and awarding of tickets

Each page uploaded to the forum by the deadline which adheres to all criteria for the round will be awarded 2 tickets towards the grand prize and will be in the running for the weekly prize. Pages loaded after the weekly deadline will receive 1 ticket into the major draw, but will not be in the running for the weekly prize.

Judging of the weekly prizes will be conducted by the SBT50 DT and the GDT of that stop. The winner will be based on your racing style, paying particular attention to craftsmanship, attention to detail and appropriate use of techniques.

Entries for the detour/road block challenges need to be uploaded within the specified time frame to be eligible for a ticket. If you get to do this within the time frame then 1 ticket will be awarded.



Prizes

Each weekly challenge has a prize kindly donated by one of our GDT or a scrapping store.

There is also a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize at the end which will be drawn via random draw, so the more challenges you get finished on time, the more chances you will have in the draw!

Hey Kirsten, the weekly prizes will be drawn after each is completed. So before the end of the race. We are currently still deciding on the winners for Australia! So many awesome entries.
