Day 1: Back to basics!!

Today we are getting back to basics!! Have you ever thought about how cool a card can look with a simple hand drawing and some colour?? Well... i am the first to admit that i CAN NOT draw, but i wanted to give this a go, and i love how it turned out, and even better, you can actually tell what i was trying to draw!! Here are a couple of cards i made just by hand drawing a picture and colouring it in. This is my first attempt:


And this is my second attempt. I added a few more decorations to finish this one off:


Why not give this a go?? I had so much fun drawing and colouring these pictures!! However, if you really aren't game to draw your own picture on a card, why not do a google search and find some free clipart to print and colour for the front of your card, like these pictures i found:





I really like that santa pic so if i get time i am going to print him off on card stock and start colouring. I think he looks cool!! You can even personalise him with your own list!!

Thanks Kathie!! I was a bit unsure about hand drawing, but when my 3 yr old DD tiold me it was a cute christmas tree, without any prompting, my confidence definately soared!!

Very, very cute. What did you colour them with?

I just used textas to colour them, but they would look cool in pecil or watercolour or what ever you have!!

You could always stamp and colour it in Sharynne!!
