Re: What's Cooking...??
Geez don't think I've posted in here for a few nights. So Thursday was marinated lamb chops and veg, friday wa bacon, eggs and hash browns, and tonight was a beef casserole in the slow cooker.

Re: What's Cooking...??
Tonight we had Chinese takeaway because I got home too late to cook... (shame that ).
Reading about the dahl though made me wish I'd chosen Indian instead. My Aunt and Uncle spent 20 years living in India and Nepal as missionary doctors and came home with an amazing talent for whipping up some incredible dishes. Consequently we all love being invited to their house for dinner!

Re: What's Cooking...??
Well tonight dh went all out and cooked dinner for me...
And even though it was scrambled eggs on toast, there was no way I was going to look a gift horse in the mouth...
We've had a huge weekend and all I wanted to do when we arrived home tonight was have a long hot bubble bath and curl up in bed.
Now that I've been fed, checked my emails and popped in to say hi ("Hi") I think I'm going to go and rest my weary head...
(Nigh-Night everyone!)
Hopefully I'll have some LO's finished early in the week to upload to the gallery.

Re: What's Cooking...??
Had to share this with you all - being we are in the middle of a "food" CC. This is what we had for dinner...vegies (a mixture of frozen and fresh - well it is better than none), home made chips and you guessed it.... home made Chicken Parmys. So why did I have to share....well when Tori asked what we were having for dinner and we told her Chicken Parmigiana she said oh "Chicken Farmer John"! Priceless.
Re: What's Cooking...??
LMAO Ant!
I end up cooking a couple of different meals her too quite often. Not always though. Eli's eating pretty much what we eat these days which is great. Ethans become such a pain with eating. Most nights I dish him up what we are having and as long as he tries everything that's fine with me. But there are nights he doesn't have exactly the same as us. He's not going to eat steak just yet so he'll have a snag and veg instead. Rather than cutting into a chicken snitzel for him I serve him up a few nuggets (yep have been making my own) instead. That sort of thing.
But nights like tonight where the kids are hungry an hour before the roast is cooked, they got different meals.
Eli had leftovers of the casserole from last night, a sandwich, a couple of chicken nuggets.
Ethan well I cooked him up one of those pasta and sauce Continental jobos and he had that with a couple of nuggets too.
Then they both had some custard. I was feeding Eli and then got busy with Ethan and made the mistake of leaving the bowl of custard on the tray of the highchair.
Look what I turned around to find:
He wasn't waiting for Mumma to spoon feed him!

Re: What's Cooking...??
Becci, I love the photos of Eli... Tooooo cute!!!
Brings back soooooo many memories of Cait - only she used to do it with her mashed pumpkin and sweet corn... It didn't take me long to figure out that she could only be fed right away from any carpet in the house ('cause cream coloured carpet and pumpkin just don't mix!!!)
