Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
My fav would have to be Roller blading - late 80's - which is an activity i still like to do now!!
Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
I was a roller SKATER!!! (No blades here, 4 wheels all the way baby!)
I was also a Rubiks Cube addict (and still have it somewhere) and then the newer "link the rings" Rubiks thing (which I could do in 8 seconds!)

Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
My parents wouldn't get me any roller skates. I had enough trouble keeping from falling on my own 2 legs!
My DS is into Rubiks cube now. He can do the 3x3 in a couple of minutes. We bought him a 4x4 but he hasn't mastered that one yet.
My favourite game was probably Trivial Pursuit. Love Trivia.

My favourite thing to play was Barbies. Outdoors I loved to play totem tennis, rollerskating and skateboarding. My favourite hobbies were sticker collecting (I still have them - love the scratch 'n' sniff and puffies!), stamp collecting, eraser collecting, dog ornament collecting, soap collecting, matchbox collecting (the cardboard variety), postcard collecting, letter paper and envelope collecting, rock collecting and my most favourtie was cartooning.

We had no barbies!!!! Not even make believe ones!!! But we did have scratch and sniff T-Shirts......and we had a farm so I used to play with the baby calves and lambs, guess I didn't really miss barbie dolls all that much. We did have totem tennis although my brother and sister couldn't hit the ball for quids....yep somehow I always seemed to be in the way and copped the full swing of the bat!!!! I had a horse too so that was always my mine source of entertainment!!!

My favourite barbies were Twirly Curl Barbie, Crystal Barbie, Peaches'n'Cream Barbie, Jewel Secrets Barbie and Beach Blast Barbie. I've still got them too! We also had a swimming pool, an awesome see-saw that also swings round and round (I copped it big time in the head once though lol), Hills swing set, Hills slide, sandpit, the most enormous trees to climb, a dog, cat, canary, budgie, bantams and ducks. We lived only 10 mins from Perth, but it was the good ol' quarter acre blocks. Now they've been all chopped up with mini mansions in small lots (some 4 to one block). Those were the days!

Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
I dont think I ever had a 'real' Barbie either Kath. I had a couple of fake ones that people had given us as hand me downs, but I was much more into toy cars. Mum and Dad didn't have heaps of money - so we had to make alot of our own fun. We had a swing set that my dad had made for us - I realize now how brilliant it was & when my little sister needed a new bike, he took mine and my twin sisters bikes that were getting to small for us, and made it in to one - but changed it so much that I am not sure that my sister even knew it was our old bikes. I too collected postcards - but mainly from family and friends that sent us one. I still collect them to this day - although I am a bit pickier as to what I choose now. We used to play schools, doctors and nurses, mothers and fathers, cops and robbers and the like. We even used to play church sometimes. We pretended we were the characters in TV shows lots - two of our favourite shows to 'play' were Charlies Angels & Gilligans Island. Ahhhh - they were the good old days!!!
Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
my dad made a swing and slide for us too, and he made it so strong we can still use it now!! Its awesome!! And he also made new bikes out of old ones!! You don't see many people doing that sort of stuff anymore!!

Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
Alright, I could write heaps here, but I'm going to have to go with Barbie also, and our cabbage patch dolls!! We had HEAPS of barbie stuff, ie, the dream car, motorhome, the horse, jeep and float, bathroom set, pool set.
And for our cabbage patch dolls we used to waste our pocket/birthday money on buying clothes for them from a lady who played squash with our mum. What a rort! And Sue can tell you the story about the hideous name she got for hers! Ha!

Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
Mum made all the clothes for our cabbage patch dolls, and mine had a horrible name, so i changed it!! Couldn't even tell you what it was now!!
Re: Product Giveaway October 10!!
Mine was called...wait for it...BERTHA ZONA!!! I had her name "legally" changed through the "adoption agency" to Molly Sue. Obviously the Sue was after me, but Molly was after Molly on A Country Practice!

Now I'll give you all a laugh!!! We have family friends that we have known for years!! They came from Germany each year for many years to visit us. When they first met me, I was a single mum with an alternative lifestyle on a small farm with chickens, dogs (I bred mini foxies) a cow and a horse. The series A country practice had just begun in Germany and they loved it!!! So they came over to stay with me and yep......my nickname ever since has been Molly!!! Still makes me smile.....Still tha tis another story!!!
