If you bought the kit you may have noticed a gorgeous butterfly from Catie's Craft Corner, that may have given you a clue about one of the criteria for this country

The criteria to be include on your layout for this country are as follows:

1. At least one butterfly to represent the huge number of butterfly species in Peru.
2. White washing of embellies or paper using Gesso or a white medium to show the beautiful snow capped Andes mountains in Peru.
3. Distressing in aid of the ancient lost city of Machu Picchu

here is my entry......got at least 1 butterfly, whitewashing(on base pp and pp under pic),and distressing,distressed all pp and tore the edges of the photo........do you love the cute butterfly in the piccie lol

Distressing, I did on cardstock also I did water distressing on my orange flowers.

White washed, butterfly and distressed!

Here is my peru layout

used 3 Butterflies, white paint splash over patterned paper, distressed the sides of both the flag banner and the photo itself.

It is nice to not be uploading at the last minute. I have used a dictionary page as the background with tearing and distressing there. I have whitewashed the background leaving the definition of rainbow un "washed" and I have used the black paint for a bit more distressing. Oh, and there are quite a number of butterflies. I have touched up the photo using my copics and distress markers and used distress stains for the splats of colour.

Here is my Peru page.
I used more than one butterfly, I white washed the paper AND the embellies {although a little hard to see} and I've distressed the edges of the paper and the photo.

Phew I thought I wouldn't make it....
* Butterfly - on brad on bottom left cluster
* White washing - used gesso under and around the darker paper in centre of layout
* Distressing - on photo and paper edges
