So it's my turn to blog on my dt's blog for a fortnight. All great, and I said 'sure! love to' straight away. And then I started in on a mild panic- what do people *actually* want to read about on a store blog? I can't witter on about the funny things that happen at work, or the exciting news of winning things elsewhere, on a store blog! Smile
So what *do* you want to read about on a store blog? Photography tips? Product spotlights? Pages done with their papers? Sketches? Techniquey tips? (that could be tricky, I'm not a very techniquey person, but I can give it a shot) Or more random, personal witterings like why I scrapbook, favourite pages, tips and tricks?
The store blogs (and similar) that I read myself tend to have a mix of all the above- Write.Click.Scrapbook is all fairly personal, chatty but fun; MemoryMakers tends towards 'here's a page, this is how/why I made it', 2Peas is on a schedule of all the above. So do I stick to the kinds of stuff I like to read? Help me, please, before I confuse myself even more! Smile
(in context, I was fine but tired yesterday, and today woke up with a nasty cold (at 2am mind you- stupid sore throat virus) so my brain is kind of fuzzy today!)
Thanks for your advice, in advance!

hmmm everyone's opinions vary on what they like to read...myself i like to read about products and how the person may have actually used them, gives me an idea of what i'm in for.

Personally, i would stick to the format that you yourself likes to read, you're familiar with that and know where it's going...hope this helps and doesn't just add to the confusion Smile

Hope your cold gets better too!

Liz, I agree with Vic, stick with what you like to read!

I personally, like to read a mixture - a bit of personal stuff (so you "bond" with the writer), their personal opinions on the products (how they used them, why they chose them), along with a bit of info on the products themselves. Top it all off with a bit of "show n tell" and I'm happy! I like it light and easy to read - nothing too technical!

HTH. Fell better soon! Very Happy

agree. Think in general - if you write stuf that you like to write/read it ends up far better then if you try to please the croud. It will find it´s way to something "LizzyLouish".
Personally I love a good laugh. Not al tips and trics need to be the good ones, sometimes just reading about how other people did not sort stuf out helps (usually we are a bunch that make the similar mistakes).

good luck on ya
