When stamping (I've got given quite a few lately) do the ink pads need to be a special kind? I don't have a scrapbooking shop anywhere near me.

I started out using ink pads that i picked up from The Reject Shop - i think they were Bella brand - then i was given some mini Stampin Up ones, but recently i have been getting a collection of Staz On ink pads that i have been able to get off ebay for about $8!! Much cheaper than paying retail price for them!! I find the Staz On gives a much better colour and quality of print, and you can stamp on anything with it!! Smile

it depends what you used the stamped image for......for instance if you stamp onto acetate(plastic sheeting) the best is a non water solvent such as stayzon....for plain paper stamping pretty much anything will do. Paint is a good thing to stamp with. 1 hint if you are stamping images to be coloured in then use a non water soluable type ink. I do have some inks for sale. You need to Pm me if interested. Hope that is okay Vicki???

The Colourbox (cat's eyes) and Versacolour are great little inkers too, for general inking, IMHO. Smile
