Ahh this year will be tricky. Its the first christmas since i seperated from my husband so I really dont know. Usually Christmas was at my place so it might be time to make some new traditions starting with a new place for the day. I love Christmas so I want to share the day with everyone so might flit from friend to friend sharing the holiday cheer!
Ive been trying to get the boys to make a new decoration each year and keep them until they are 18. Then i want to present them in a special box for them to use to decorate their own family christmas tree and add their childrens to the box as their own family grows.

This year is looking a little sad at the moment, Nonna and Poppy are going to Perth to have christmas with my brothers and new grandaughter, so it looks like a new tradition with just the 4 of us, bummer! means I have to do ALL of the cooking and not just a few treats ( I have had the luxtury of lunch at my parents my entire married life, 9 years) I know I can hear you all cursing me, a am a terrible person LOL!

my xmas family tradition is nanna buys the lollies, mum buys the soft drinks, and now nanna has passed away, we all want to buy the lollies,
and i remember when i was 5, on xmas day, i tripped on their concrete step, and was screaming, lost my 2 front teeth,,, then ended up getting a early pressi, and singing all i want for xmas....

For the past 11 years we've been having lunch at Matt's parents house and a quiet tea at home. This will be the first christmas since Matt's dad passed away.
My family usually do Christmas around 27-30 December because someone usually has to travel. Not sure what will happen this year cause my brother and sister aren't speaking. Oh the joys Smile

Since we married (17 years ago) we have had Christmas at our house. This included me having to provide xmas tea for my BIL, his girlfriend and baby 2 days after coming out of hospital with my first child! Now it is just the 4 of us for Christmas and we have a very relaxed day. Normally have turkey with all the trimmings for lunch and then play board games after lunch.

Starting a bit of a new tradiotion this year of the kids getting a small present the night before. Got the idea from another girl.
The present will be new jammies and probably a small toy like a matchbox car or something. This was the kids have nice jammies for chrissy morning photos hehe.
We're going to my mums for chirstmas day. Hopefully her new pergola will be up! Will catch up with IL's at soem stage, might make it chrissy eve liek we did last year.

New traditions this year for us. Its the first year in our new house. So for once we won't be driving to at least 3 different peoples houses. We have told everyone to come to us. Very exciting!

Also we are going to start taking Madeline to the christmas lights display near us. Every christmas eve starting this year. She's probably still a bit too you to appreciate it. But we love seeing the lights too.

Becci - we do the same. Every Christmas Eve the kids get a pair of jammies from us - we started doing it because my DH's family has been doing it since he was really young and he wanted to keep the tradition going. Even last year when we were camping - the kids still got their annual Christmas Eve PJs......I think DS wouldn't know what was going on if he didn't get them....DD is still too young to realise that this is an annual event.
