Hmmm I'm not a mystery movie girl really... Ummm Let see.... I loved flightplan with Jodie Foster. It's where a mother gets on a plane with her daughter and her little girl goes missing. Some of the crew have kidnapped her but make her out to be a mad woman... I found it rather confronting having a little girl of around the same age when the movie came out...

I love mysteries, though mostly I read them. I loved Rebecca the 1940 version by Alfred Hitchcock. I'll never forget the face of Mrs Danvers at the window as Manderlay burns.

Jaws scared the %^&% out of me for years.....still does when I hear that music. But there are many more, like the one with Hannibal Lector? in it, Saw (I only ever saw the first one cause it scared the living daylights out of me), Seven etc. I could go on - Gawd, just watching Survivor and Amazing Race are suspense enough for me.....LOL.

Anything Alfred Hitchcock is suspense central. The scariest would have to be PSYCHO. Not that remake tripe, the original B&W version starring Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh and Vera Miles. My fave though, is VERTIGO starring James Stewart, Kim Novak and Barbara Bel Geddes. Other faves of his are; REAR WINDOW, THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (James Stewart and Doris Day), ROPE, REBECCA, MARNIE (Tippi Hedren and Sean Connery), THE BIRDS, STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, NORTH BY NORTHWEST and SHADOW OF A DOUBT. I find no suspense at all in graphic horror movies. Razz

I'm with you Kath, Flight Plan had me on the edge of my seat, and also The Sixth Sense, I was one of those people who didn't pick it up until the end.

Oh so many, but will have to say Saw seeing as it was on the other night. Didn't help that my bff knocked on the sliding door which was right next to my seat about 10 minutes from the end. Scared the living daylights out of me.

Fight Club!!! BRILLIANT movie, with 2 of my fave actors in it! Product giveaway #4 Icon_biggrin I love the twist in that movie! (Same with Primal Fear - Edward Norton scores again!)

Another one is Wolf Creek...which didnt exactly keep me on the edge of my seat - I was more like cowering somewhere underneath it...LOL
(It was made all the worse by the fact that DP wouldnt watch it with me and I was sitting alone in the dark late at night. Product giveaway #4 Icon_eek )

Wolf Creek was the first one I was going to say - but I couldn't remember the name of it. It truly was the most terrifying movie I have EVER seen. I kept saying to DH I need to go to the toilet and he said he would pause it for me....I kept saying no, don't pause it - it just meant I could get away with watching less of it! BTW - to this day I still cant look at John Jarrett (sp?) without picturing him in that movie. Wonder how many people who see him in the street these days feel the same, because they just see the character?

What Lies Beneath was very good! Very Happy It actually takes off several Hitchcock movies! So does Flightplan... it is virtually copying Hitchcock's "The Lady Vanishes"... which is far superior in suspense and believability.... so many flaws!!! Razz Razz Razz

The Sixth Sense was a BRILLIANT movie. Too bad M. Night's gone so downhill.... anyone seen his latest "The Happening"?! lol!
