Well as all kids I guess thing change every five minutes. But I always wanted to be a wife and mother. And guess what I am! Well not techinically married yet, but that will happen soon enough.
I loed watching Bewitched, thought Samantha was the ants pants mother and wife. Always wanted a house like theirs.

I remember when I was five I wanted to by a female jockey. This was way before they were around. By the age of 11 I was terrified of horses. At 14 I wanted to be an archeaologist. I even went on a dig at 16 with a friend but ended up having to cart wheelbarrows full of dirt so that put pay to that idea.

When I was at school the Guidance Counsellor made us all choose two careers (a first choice and a back up in case our Tertiary Entrance scores weren't high enough to get into that particular course at Uni).

I had no idea what I wanted to be and was more interested in boys than reading the careers guide she provided us with.
Product giveaway #4 Icon_wink
So when it came to handing in my form I quickly opened the guide and chose the first two jobs that caught my eye.

Air Hostess and Architect!

(Yes, I only looked in the A's listing)

Of all the career choices I 've made throughout my life (from teaching, to writing, to PR & events coordination, to celebrant and finally SAHM). The best by far has been SAHM. The pay sucks - but the pay-offs rock!

I was always going to be a Veterinarian... I followed my dream all the way to college, was getting ready to apply at Murdoch (WA) when I became ill... I then switched focus to study medicine and I wanted to be a gynaecologist to help work with other women who had what I had (was frustrated by male gynaes!!!)

When I was 17 my disease really took hold and I missed a lot of school, I was still accepted to Uni Tas for medcine, but was in too much pain and had too much time in hospy to be able to take my position Sad Then I met Nathan, we broke up, got back together... now we have 4 gorgeous children and as much as I wish I had the strength to push through and be working in the profession I wanted I don't regret my 'career' of being a mum one bit Smile

Oh dear this does depend on what stage of my 'childhood' I was at.

As a child all I ever wanted to be was a doctor! A lack of effort and mediocre grades really didn't help me achieve that goal. When I handed my forms in for uni choices - I too had absolutely no idea of what I wanted to do. Top choice was Marine Biologist, 2nd choice was Park Ranger and third, because I thought it was close to being a doctor was Nursing. Well Nursing is what I did and am still doing. Today if you asked me, I would say photographer, pyschologist (which I got accepted into about 3 years ago but decided it would be too hard with a 1 year old), interior decorator or Park Ranger. But in saying that, last night while watching Bondi Vet I decided that I wouldn't mind being a Vet Nurse...tomorrow it might be a kindy teacher....who knows with me????? Product giveaway #4 680678 40 and still unsure of what I really want to be!

From an early age I wanted to be a mummy, then in early high school I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher, then late high school a primary teacher. I ended up leaving school, working in a factory as a machinist for 8 years then had a massive career change and became a cop. I'm not your typical cop though, you'd never pick it if you met me in the street. I'm more of a mummy at the moment though, I only work one day a week and have chased a crook or locked up a drunk since mid 2006 because of pregnancy and maternity leave.

I changed my mind a number of times when I was young!
I remember always wanting to be a vet, but once I found out that I would likely have to put animals down, I gave up on that one and decided I wanted to be a wildlife carer / rehabilitator instead. Soon discovered that you can't make a living doing that and that I would still need an actual job to support myself. Then decided I was going to be a journalist, but ended up being one credit short of being able to apply for uni when I finished school (thanks to a stuff up by the school). Went off and got a job in childcare for 8.5 years, then applied to uni as a mature age student and completed my Bach of Science in Public Health. Still not sure what I am going to do with it though...LOL. I would love to go back to uni and do another degree in nutrition so I can specialise in childhood nutrition and then design and implement some national health promotion campaigns to address the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. I always wanted to be a writer. I've made many attempts at different things over the years but now I'm looking into going into university to study a batchelor of arts with journalism and theatre as my majors. HUGE thing to take on as a single SAHM of 2 kids under 3 but i'm determined. I don't want to look back in 10 years and go oh what if.........? But as a little kid i did think being a nun would be cool until i realised what a nun actually did and all they missed out on Product giveaway #4 Icon_eek

Right up until I was 15 I wanted to be a kindy/english teacher. I did Kindy/pre school work experience & decided neither was for me. Then when the craze of The X Files hit I wanted to be an FBI agent Product giveaway #4 Icon_cool Then I wanted to be a writer
By year 11 I had decided I wanted to work in Mental Health. I did prac with Family & Youth Support which was quite interesting but through my own personal experiences in getting counselling I decided I'd either work in Social Work/Counselling. I'm qualified to do so it's just that I didnt do any prac
