I have taken pics at the 3 month mark. Got one today with the flowers dp sent me for my b'day. My sil and I are comparing notes on what people say, what the drs tell us and just general stuff. It is funny cause I am not that excited, I am happy just it is all a little surreal still for me. I havent cried at the ultrasounds i have had soo far, from what I have read all the ladies do Daily ramblings - Page 34 Icon_neutral. My mum and dad, brother and sister are all telling me off for not eating enough. I am just not hungry tho. Water on the other hand I cant seem to get enough off. Might have to give the parents some money for the amount i am drinking! The heat doesnt really bother me much, the a/c makes me want to put a jumper on! I reckon I have felt a few kicks in the last week or so too! There have been some dull aches around my belly that I cant explain. Hope everyone had a great day! I am off to call dp and say good night and then to bed my eyes have had just about enough for one day, hehe!

Enjoy it Retta....I felt like you and I'm an older mum too...had my girls at 38 and then at nearly 40 and both pregnancies felt sureal until the baby starting kicking.....oh and how I loved that.....the things I miss most are the baby movements in my tummy and breastfeeding.....
Have an excellent weekend....hopefully it will make up for the crumby day you have had with a headache

Post by robjud Thu Mar 18, 2010 5:25 pm

Today was my day at home except that it was Sports Day and as it was DD's last sports day at primary school I spent nearly all day there. Came home for an hour at lunch but spent most of that on the phone. Found out on Tuesday that the orthodonist DD sees for her braces and for whom I'd made 11 appointments with for DS to see this year as he was supposed to be getting braces next month is not able to come to Bacchus Marsh any more this year. All appointments had been moved to Ballan, about half an hour away. I don't drive so we would have to catch the train. We've ended up cancelling DS's appointments until next year and moved DD's to Ballarat as they had more suitable appointment times. Not very happy but it was the Dentist in Bacchus Marsh that caused the problem. Then phoned Adelaide Zoo to book to see the pandas as we are going there in the week after Easter. The lady phoned me back a couple of minutes later to say someone else in their database had the same membership number as us so she couldn't put us in to book the pandas and I'm waiting to hear back from her. Why is nothing ever simple!

Thats life Judith and sometimes its such a hard uphill battle....but you know what??? Its so worth it......if you can hold it together it will make you stronger let me encourage you to just take a step at a time and see the disappointments as another door openning somewhere else that may be even better than what you wanted to do in the first place.....life is tough at times but our attitude to it makes all the difference......I love this saying: If life throws you lemons (something bitter and hard to deal with) make lemonade (something sweet and nice) out of them!! Hope that makes you feel a little better

Post by fullofscrap Tue Mar 23, 2010 12:30 pm

Wow! Did we have an eventful evening last night!!! It all started at about 4pm when the sky started to look a bit dark. I dropped DS for his shift at the local IGA and took DD to her swimming training when it started hailing! My DD got so scared as the hail was as big as golf balls! I was parked next to a big tree on the side walk and drove my car in right underneath it. I think that saved it (and us)! Needless to say, the coach told everybody to go home.
When we got home my little dachshunds were in a state as they just hate thunder and lightning and the hail must have made such a noise on my patio roof!! After calming them down the real storm started.
First the power went out and it was pitch dark outside at 5 pm in the afternoon. The wind was SO strong! Water was pouring from every little gap through my bedroom window and DD and I was running around with our torches to get towels!! Then DD discovered that water was dripping from the roof around the downlight in the spare toilet!
Every time we looked through the window we could see tree branches blowing everywhere and all our rosebushes blew over. I told DH to stay at work for longer as he wanted to come home to help us, but there were so many accidents on the roads and we could hear ambulance sirens all the time.
We heard on the news that more then 100 000 houses in Perth was without electricity last night and some places were very badly damaged. Our power was back on at about 1pm this morning and we count ourselves very lucky... We could see all the devestation on our way to school this morning. My kids could at least go to school today. Many schools in Perth are closed due to damage!
So, even though we had an eventful evening it looks so insignificant in comparison to what other people have endured! My heart goes out to everybody who has lots so much! God bless!
Have a great day everybody. Daily ramblings - Page 34 Icon_smile
