Re: August B'day Card Front Swap
Wow, the cards this month are great! I haven't been getting e-mail alerts when you have posted something to this thread. Not sure what is going on and as I have had a busy few days I hadn't specifically looked. I just happened to notice that Melissa had posted something up today.
If you hadn't checked out my blog with my cards that I posted up last week. Here they are:

Re: August B'day Card Front Swap
Hi Melissa,
Thanks Glad that you like my blog. I actually use Stampin' Up markers. They have a brush on one end and a writing tip on the other end. I noticed that it was the question of the day today but I think it was Kathy who answered pretty comprehensively so I didn't add anything to it. I went into a group share to get them so I got them 8 markers at a time instead of the whole lot so that was great. I use the markers instead of others because it matches their paper and inks so well. With Malcolm the Milk Truck I Printed the digital image out on white card stock and then coloured in with the brush tip of the markers. The ladies card that I posted is stamped on Water colour paper and I have used the marker to just highlight the shaded part then I used an Aqua Painter also from Stampin' up to take the colour and brush it out to the end of the stamp. I also use water colour crayons on the stamps on the water colour. If you looked at my blog the notebook that I put up a couple of post ago the flowers were painted using the crayons and aqua painter.
I know that there are other brush markers out there as well but I haven't looked into them because I already had the Stampin' Up ones. I love their stamps as well. It's just me I suppose, we all have our own style and likes. Also if you have a rubber stamp you can use the brush to put colour right on the stamp to give the different colour outlines. I did that on the candle that I posted on the blog, it had 3 different colours on the stamp. After you have put the colour on it if you just breathe on the stamp to moisten it a bit then the ink will come off onto the paper better.
Hope that helps. Sorry it is so long winded.
Take Care
Sharon
