August B'day Card Front Swap

Sign up is now open for the August Card Front Swap. We will be making 2 card fronts for each person who signs up, with the theme being 1 male and 1 female birthday card. Card fronts are made 9cm x 13cm to easily fit the blank Kaiser cards. If you have any questions please ask. Sign up will be open until the end of July and the card fronts will need to be sent to me before the end of August.

I hope we can get some more members involved in this one...I know there are lots of great card-makers out there! (And all the novice card-makers too - everyone can give it a go!)
Great way to use up some scraps and PLENTY of time to get the cards done!

do we all send the cards to one person with a self addressed envie and they send out to the rest???

Melissa, if the timing is right, you might be able to send them all together!

I think we will run with a group of 6 and if anybody else wants to join in, we ca start a new group!! I already have my men's cards 90% finished, and know exactly what i am doing for the ladies!! I will hopefully get them out of the way before the cc, so i don't have to stress about them at the end of the month!!

perfect...so 6 of each than or technically 5 of each(girl/boy)!!!

Yep 6 each male & female.
(We just send the whole lot to Vick and we get them all back together. That way Vick doesn't have to worry about who get what in each envelope, everyone just gets the same.)

Just came to see if we had all six. :cheers: How good is that. I am working on my male cards tonight while my DH is working. Not sure if this idea will work but if it doesn't I will go with the one I just posted on my blog today.

Hey ladies!! Is this like and ATC swap but with cards instead of the atc's?? I'm a bit thick sometimes with stuff like this.....

Hi Kathie! For the swap, we each make 2 card fronts (this month its one male and one female birthday card) for each person in the swap. The card fronts each measure 9x13cm (so they fit Kaiser blank cards). Once they are complete, we send them through to Vicki and she sends them all back to us. (So with 6 people signed up, we each end up receiving 12 completely different handmade card fronts!)

Thanks Sue!! I would love to give this a go in the near future, but have to get caught up here first!! I will keep it in mind...
