Week 2 - Styles entries here!

hopefully i have done it right this time lol. i rolled a 5 and was given Media Mall.

I landed on Media Mall.... I had alot of fun with my base, using inks, mists, paints and gesso.... Ive got doilies behing the photo as well as news print PP

CLEAN STREET - Plain Background; Minimal Embellies; Doilys

it was Retro Road for me - I have included a doily, polka dots - on the flag and background and Polaroid photo - used my daughter's Instax camera

I landed on Media Mall - I have used paint on the background and ink on the doily, butterflies and book paper.

I'm sorry bout the poor quality of photo, but I wanted to get it up on time. I will take a better pic tomorrow.
I had to create a layout with a single coloured background, with minimal embellies and include a doily.

I landed on 'chance' and chose 'Media Mall' with a polaroid frame. I've used ink on a stencil on the background (very subtle) and all around the distressed edges as well as a sentiment on the lower part of the polaroid frame. The newsprint is on a background doily and the heart from the kit. The doily is on the background as a mat with an additional two cut from a die.

My technique was retro road.

I used polka dots, polaroid photo, big flower and a doily

I landed on Freestyle Freeway. I used a gold doily, unusual journalling around the doily, doodling around the edge of the page and a bright layout.

Background with gesso, tissue paper, roller stamping with gold ink, washi, gloss medium, muslin--- aka mixed media.

I landed on Media Mall. I chalked around the border of my page with a pale pink then used a page from a book and a fabric doily to layer under my photo.

Media Mall for me today, well catch up day, lol. I created my background with ripped up paper and then over-layed with tissue paper and some ripped up doilies then covered with gesso. I then sprayed with spray inks along the top and sprayed water to make it flow down the page. I also used gelatos aound all the edges of the layers of the page to grungy it up a bit, including a metallic silver that looks cool IRL but doesn't show up in the photo very well. I used book paper in place of newsprint as I didn't have any, down both sides of the black and white diagonal paper, and covered them with more gelatos. There are doilies in the background and under the photo.

Retro Road - a cotton doiley under a vinyl single, large triangle pattern with arrows for background, slide frame embellies.

This week I landed on Freestyle Highway - not my forte but I gave it my all. Unusual journalling around the border and the title is in Ukrainian meaning Grandmother. And of course, there's some doilies which my grandmother loved so much.
