Vicki's Technique Ch!!

My challenge to you all this month is a technique ch!! The technique you will be using is STAMPING!! Yep, thats right, dust off your stamps and inks and lets see what you can create!! On my layout, i have used my stamps with embossing powder to create a background and i have also used stamps to create a little scene that matches the photo!!

Along with stamping, i would like to see a KRAFT background and some altered chipboard on your layout! Doesn't matter how you alter your chippie! I have painted my title, and inked and embossed the flowers!

By Kraft background do you mean kraft cardstock? If so then I cant get any locally (nobody in my area stock it) and I cant order online for a while. Is there another option?

I am not sure if Vicki approves or not...but how about just using a regular piece of cardboard as your base?

Yep i approve of that comment Ant, otherwise go brown or something like that!! I do know a nice shop online where you can get Kraft very cheap tho! Check out Kathie's Scraphappy Kat store!!

I think I will have to blow some dust off my stamps, I haven't used them in AGES! Good challenge Vick, and your LO looks great too - I really love the pops of red!

btw - with regard to the query about substituting for Kraft, I would say just use any cardstock that has a colour close to Kraft, or as Ant suggested use normal cardboard as a base. I reckon a sheet of raw chipboard would do the trick too.

Beautiful example! I just love the monthly challenges! They allow for lots of creativity but not so specific (other than a few requirements) that one can use any style or materials. I love the technique challenges because it helps for using new techniques as well as ones not used lately or ones (like stamping for me) that need some improvement.

Awesome vicki, thanks. I would get it online but I've got to be good this month and not spend too much. So I think I will go plain cardboard and see how I go.

I managed to score a bit of Kraft card so now I must get motivated and find my mojo.

Vicki do you get your kraft cardstock down here locally or on the net? I can't find it anywhere down here!!

I generally get mine on the net from Scraphappy Kat (member Kathie)!! She has it sooo cheap, so i buy it in bulk when i get it. Otherwise, i know that Scrappy Chappy had it in at the start of the year, not sure about recently tho, cos every time i'm in town, she seems to be closed!!

Yeah i went there today and it said something on the door about being shut for a few weeks or something :S

Hmm.. i'm not overly impressed by them anyway!! I would rather support people who are nice!! Kathie has great prices on her CS and super quick delivery!
