The Photo Fixer Empty The Photo Fixer

Post by Guest Thu Jun 04, 2009 8:30 am

Sarah is one of my friends and her hubby Dean has set up his own photo editing business.

It’s all official with a registered business name an domain.

The name of the business is “The Photo Fixer”, and the website is http://www.thephotofixer.com.au/ and as the name says, he fixes photos – working with either digital photos, printed photos or even negatives. You name it, he can do it!
Dean can restore those old photos you have in the box at the back of the cupboard to make them look like new, restoring colours, rips and cracks. But that’s only the beginning! As scrapbookers we all know how elusive “the perfect photo” can be, but it doesn’t have to come straight out of the camera – there are so many cool things that can be done post-photography to get great results. Possibilities include teeth whitening, skin touch ups, removal of unwanted backgrounds or details, additional of details from another image, the list goes on.

So check it out - I'm going to go through my pics this weekend to find all those pics that need some touching up.

xx

Let us know how you get on Christine. (Maybe you could show us a before and after?)
We have heaps of family photos that were kept in the old unsafe albums that are now yellow. I would love to get these fixed for mum one day.

There are examples on the site or go to my blog and on side bar click on the name sarahb - she has examples on her blog of dean's work. I've seen IRL the before and afters that Dean has done for Sarah's photos and it is fab.

Dean is an absolute legend. My DH used to smoke so many many years ago and we have some great photos of him fishing but he always had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, not only did Dean remove the cigarette but also restored pic to original colours.

In this photo I wanted Dean to remove the dog from behind my daughter and change the colour of the doona and bunny ears from purple to pink (just to suit a layout I'm doing - lol)
