I have been busy scrapping and should have another 2 LO's to put into the gallery sometime tomorrow...woo hoo!

Still very quiet around here...

I am having a night off scrapping tonight as I have extremely sore eyes. (I think it may be due to yesterday's dust storm.) I don't feel too bad about taking tonight off though, as I have so far completed the opening night challenge, challenge 1 (was my DT example), challenge 2, challenge 3 and challenge 5. Unfortunately I missed out on the mystery challenge as couldn't get a pic printed in time. (Although I did post SOMETHING in the thread...LOL) I am raring to go on challenges 4 & 6 too, but am going to need pics printed for them also. So I guess its an enforced rest for me tonight...maybe thats not a bad thing!

Wanted to get some challenges done but my son Elijah has had croup the last few days and this morn wasent able to
breathe so i had my 18 yr old son, Andre call 911. They took Lie in the ambulance and the
hospital gave him 2 treatments, steroids, xrays and meds. he has some
kind of virus, which is making his asthma and croup act up. hes missed
6 days of school so far because of this.

Gee Terri, thats not good!! Seems like there are nasty viruses all over the world at the moment!! I hope he gets better soon!!

Terri, that's awful! (And very scary for you all.) I hope Elijah is feeling better soon and that you all get some much-needed rest!

Oh this is awful, I hope the meds quickly work for him.

thanks everyone. he is doing a little better. VERY mean and moody because of the steroids. I rented a breathing machine and it saved him this morning from too much congestion. insurnace companies sure dont make things easy for someone with a sick child on a friday ill tell ya. i was treated like crap by a few medical supply places, so much i felt like either crying or slugging a wall. NO i couldent have gotton on this any earlier.. like they said to me.. i was in the ER, getting scripts filled and on the phone all day seeing what was covered and what wasent etc.. UHHHHH
My 18 yr old son says the US state of medical care is horrendous! He watched Micheal Moores documentary SICKO and cant stop talking about it!

Not sure that ours is that bad here yet......Waiting for surgery is a bit of a night mare here. Hope that all is improving with DS, its not easy is it? Take care

I hate it when they say this is a bad time! I remember saying to a nuclear medical technician who had to come in on call on a weekend, "I am sorry, I will go and tell my patient to hold off on their chest pain to a time that suits you better". I can tell you now, they coughed and spluttered and back pedaled really quickly. Sometimes I just don't think they think about what they are saying. I am not sure I have seen SICKO, but some of his otter ones are food for thought, like where all he ate for a month was maccas; and the one where he and his girlfriend lived on minimum wage! Hope your son is doing better - you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Only 5 more days to get your layouts finished and uploaded!! How are you all getting on? I only have 1 layout to go and all the cards if i get around to them!!

Me too! I am tackling a mini album for that one and have everything ready to go, so shouldn't be too much trouble. (And I will have DP's Christmas present sorted to boot!)
