Re: Crop Chatter!
Hey,
Thanks for your replies, how exciting!
I like the idea of challanges. although i have been scrapbooking/card making on and off for several years, i concider myself as beginer/intermediate, as i dont have as a full on scrap stash and there are things i still need to learn. Although, arn't we all continually learning?
I'm about to start a project for my sons 1st birthday,"(his first year of life 8"x8" album, but i think i might give this crop a go!
Thanks everyone!

Oh Kathie, that is no good! I hope you are resting right now and that you are feeling better soon! XXX
Welcome aboard Beke! Glad you could join us and so glad to see you are jumping right in!
As for me, I spent last night having a big clean-up in my scrap room, which I am very pleased with! I am hoping to get something done tonight...not sure which challenge yet???

Beke, I've just completed my first layout for this cyber crop (challenge no. 1 - Awesome 80s) - it's called "Crop Tops Really Rock" and I've uploaded it into the Let's Go Retro gallery today.
I'm going to start challenge no. 2. soon! It sounds really exciting - I'm going go to town hand drawing on my cardstock. I love drawing and I double love drawing and scrapping!!!

Re: Crop Chatter!
Well, I have now done Sue and Vicki's monthly challenges, but need to get photos printed for Kathie's. I am yet to start the CC challenges as between my knee recovering, a cold from the kids and as of yesterday conjunctivitis, I feel like s#*t. Hoping to get into them in the next couple of days!

For anyone that hasn't done it already, make sure you put down your choices for Challenge 5 by midnight tonight. You can do it here:

Re: Crop Chatter!
It's OK Robyn, there is plenty of time! There is still over 2 full weeks to get challenges completed, and as usual, you can do as many or few as you wish!
(I do hope you can sneak some time to complete one or two!)

Re: Crop Chatter!
It's been very quiet out there...I assume everyone is madly scrapping their butts off???
I am hoping to have challenge 3 finished tomorrow and maybe another tomorrow night (have a plan).
Gotta get some done before I go away on Tuesday morning!

Re: Crop Chatter!
The final challenge, challenge 6 is now up!! Good luck with them all ladies!! Keep us informed with how you are all going, and if you need any help with anything just yell out!! We are never too far away!!
Re: Crop Chatter!
I'm can't scrap today or probably for the next 2 weeks! Our kitchen reno started today and there is dust everywhere! Half my house is covered with old sheets and the other half is full of dust. I'm checking into the gallery every now and again though - just to make sure the rest of you are scrapping!
Re: Crop Chatter!
I don't think I will be scrapping much either for a few days. DD has come home from child care quite sick. Say a little prayer that she gets better soon and that it is just a bit of gastro.
Re: Crop Chatter!
Oh, that's aweful Anthea! I hope that your DD will recover soon and that its nothing too serious. Hang in there...
Re: Crop Chatter!
Anthea, I pray that your DD will recover really quickly and that nobody else in your home contracts whatever she has managed to catch! Gastro is going around, so I hope that its not, just a little tummy upset. take care

Re: Crop Chatter!
Thanks guys - right now DH and I are tag teaming it. DD wants water, but can't keep it down and is not happy with the 10 -15mls I am giving her every 15 minutes. She has already had 2 baths since being home and I am on my second load of washing Poor darling.
I just hope it is a gastro bug of some sort - that would be the best case scenario. With DD another thing that is cause for serious concern is hydrocephalus (water on the brain). Hydrocephalus can occur in DD due to what is known as a 'formam magnum stenosis' which is basically where the spine area in the neck is too small which can then cause pressure on the spinal cord causing the fluid build up in the brain. One of the major symptoms of this is sudden onset nausea and vomiting.
Up until age 1, DD had ultasounds of the head to assess for this 4 monthly, and up until age 2, she has had regular head measurements. These stopped in regularity at age 2 because the risk is decreased - but this doesn't mean there is no risk. I try not to over react about these things, but it is hard. I have spoken with my doctor who said to keep an eye on her and if she gets worse in a couple of hours, bring her to the hospital. So far - so good. I think she has just fallen asleep with DH -off to help him now.
Oh and sorry for the book!
