Well we made it up to Townsville in one piece and only time will tell how much actual scrapping we get done. Mandy is due to have her operation on her hand tomorrow, so she won't be in much state to scrap anyway. I will be chief babysitter tomorrow night while Mandy and her hubby go out to a Xmas function, so I am planning a serious assault on her stash (but SHHHHHH! I'm not telling her that!)

ha that is so funny Sue!! I won't tell Mandy!!! I'm so looking forward to meeting Anthea soon!! Hey would any of you girls be interested in a retreat here next year? its just a thought that I had.....I can manage to put at least 8 girls up in my home so long as you don't mind sharing rooms.....meals are not a problem as I used to cook in a pub.....it was awhile ago but as I'm catering for the scrapping party tomorrow night, I think we could manage!!! It may not work but maybe it will... it will be up to you lovely girls.

Kathie, it sounds like a wonderful plan! I would so much want to join you but seeing that I'm sitting "overseas" here in Perth, I don't know if I'll be able to make it!

my mum lives there!! You never know though you may be blessed with a cheap flight.......and I can assure you that you will not spend anymore than the cost of the food and what ever the packs cost and they are always cheap!! I will make sure that its within everybodies price range don't worry.....I'd rather have heaps of you here than make lots of money out of you all!!!

adrian and i went to town and bought another controlller, nunchuck etc for the wii, so we can play 2 player.
we had subway for lunch and bought some groceries.
i wrapped the last of the kids xmas presents last night.
we just need to go back into town and get the grandparents something for xmas.

Hope everyone is well - it's very quiet out there! I am up here baking in the Townsville heat. Mandy had her surgery on her hand yesterday, so I have been helping her out doing all the things for her and the kids that she can't. Unfortunately that means there is not much scrapping happening, but we are enjoying spending time together.
Hope everyone has their Christmas shopping done - the shops are INSANE!!!

Sue you are a great sister.
It has been so hot we have been sweltering.
I got very badly sunburnt at our swimming carnival and then ben, my 18 yr old, was really upset. He made me promise to have a skin check for cancers, this is because of my friend. he went straight out and picked a huge leaf off the aloe vera plant and got the tea tree oli and aloe vera spray out and I have to say it has been really good after using these.
I am on holidays! yahoo!
I have cleaned out the frig, washed 5 loads of washing, cleaned the house and made chocolates! Am catching up here then going to bed!

Hi all....just updated my avatar pic. It is probably the best shot out of a bad bunch. It took some coniving to get her on his lap, actually a bit of bribery. I told her if she wanted the bag of lollies he gave her opened, she would have to bring them to him.... Hey it worked, but I still couldn't get a smile....at least in this shot, it looks like she is talking to him.

Well you just can't make kids sometimes!!! My DD1 the first time she saw Santa she called him the funny clown and screamed the shopping center down when we thought that she might like to sit on his lap for a photo......we gave up.....no Santa photos in this house.......Both girls were petrified of Santa....

This happened to mine when they were about 2!

Yep - I guess when you are only 2 years of age and a big fat guy in a red and white suit says sit on my knee....that is good reason to scream. I am not too upset. I am sure she will grow to love him eventually! Actually...she really does like the man who played him this year. When we saw him in the hall way, back doing regular duties - she chatted up a storm.

How is everyone doing? I have (as usual) left everything to the last minute. I went out today and managed to get at least half of my shopping done. We have also decided that we are going camping for Christmas (a first) so I have to get majorly organised for that. 4 more days of work and I will be on hols for 5 days....yeah!

Okay girls I have two things to share one is fantastic the other is sad really:

1. I need to find a home for my little (foxie-Jack Russell x) Lillie dog ....she is 3 years old, has had 1 litter of pups (she is not spayed), LOVES kids....unfortunately tries to eat my chooks (reason for new home) As we are moving out to a rural location next year and she just can't come.....no matter how secure the yard is sooner or later, as always happens, somebody is gonna leave a gate open......not a problem normally except the neighbours have ducks and chooks So I'm faced with a real problem here. Is there one of you who is willing to give my little dog a new home??.....if we can't find one then she will need to go to doggie heaven which will just break my heart as she is my dog. She has blown 2 last chance chances so she has to go.......

Kathie, I have tears in my eyes!
As a fellow dog lover, I understand how hard this must be for you. If I could give her a home, I would even drive down there and collect her myself. Unfortunately I live in a unit so I can't, but I really hope someone will be able to help you out and give Lillie a loving home.
