AARGHHHH!!!!!! I'm having problems with DS again. He refused point blank to go to school on Friday because he had had a couple of bad days with people picking on him. I contacted the school and left messages TWICE for the Year 7 coordinators to phone me but nobody did. He went to school this morning but phoned me at recess and I went to pick him up. Again there is no one to talk to so have a left message again.
He has a try out day at the school we are hoping to send him to next year but that was like drawing blood from a stone. I was told 6 wks ago that someone was going to phone me to arrange a day but nobody did. I phoned again the week before last to chase up and was told the message was passed on to the person dealing with it. Phoned up that person on Friday and left a phone message and she finally phoned me Friday arvo and arranged it straight away but said that next year 8 was full. I'm hoping that Robert has been included in that as I don't know what we'll do if he doesn't get into this other school.

Oh Judith, I hope Robert gets into the new school and that everything works out well for all of you. My daughter went through a tough time at school about a year ago and it really makes you sad to see your kids unhappy. Let us know what happens and Good Luck! Daily ramblings - Page 7 Icon_smile

Sorry to hear about DS Judith, I hope everything works out for the new school. It is terrible to hear that he is having such a hard time again.

Bad night at our house last night with DD sick. She had some sort of tummy upset and was vomiting everywhere (think "The Exorcist"...yuck!) Put a dent in my plans to scrap, so am hoping tonight will be smooth sailing!

Bullying is such a big thing now in our schools. Although, it has always been away but I think the discipline system when we went to school was far more brutal, so to speak, than it is now. My daughter, although never bullied, has friends who have and i've always told her to stand up for them even when no one else will. The emotional stress involved in this leaves emotional scars for a very, very long time.

Hope all works out for your DS judith, no one deserves to be bullied, school is for learning not enduring crap from others.

Yep with you on this one!! Gillian put up with a year of bullying and finally (after 2 months) got up enought courage to tell us what was going on, only she thought it was her fault in some way!!! We had the school try to stop it, only the girl that was bullying Gillie just kept on going, so finally we told her stepdad.....all hell broke loose then. Gillie was still bullied a bit and we were just thinking of moving her school when the other girls mum cracked it over a report card mark, went ballistic at a teacher and pulled her kid out of our school............Poor Gillie cried with relief. Judith I pray that you get your son, Robert, into the new school and that he has a much happier experience there.......

Hi all....I don't have long, so I haven't read through everything to see what is going on - I hope everything is well and I haven't missed anything too important. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. My visitor is still here and her hubby is due to arrive any minute (she is is picking him up as I type) We have been busy doing not a lot of anything - just kind of playing tourist in my own area and catching up on goss. I really just want a night or two to myself to do some stuff that I want - like scrapping - lol. Everyone here is well. Matthew stresses me out as much as usual and Tori is doing very well. The house is coming along slowly - they have almost finished bricking- so the inside work will begin soon I expect. Anyways....missing being around and seeing what everyone is up to. I have looked in the gallery a couple of times, but I don't think I have seen everything yet......loving everyones work so far. C'yas all soon. Daily ramblings - Page 7 Icon_biggrin

Enjoying the cool weather today. First day under 30C for ages. DD is off to Grade 5 camp tomorrow in the Grampians. They're forecasting 38C and 40C for Wed and Thurs so I'm not sure how many activities they'll get done. DS is off to Maryborough on Thursday until Sunday for the RACV Energy Breakthrough Challenge (24 hour pedal powered car race). This means DH and I get our first night alone together since Dec 1996 when DS was born!! Might go out for a meal. DD is back late Friday afternoon. Then Sat and Sun we are going up to Maryborough to see DS. Think I will have 2 very tired kids by Monday so am thinking of giving them the day off school. Then Monday night they have dress rehearsal for ballet and acrobatics concert and Wed and Thurs nights it is the actual concert. Can't even relax on the weekend as DD and I are going to see New Moon on the Sat and we're all going to see a local production of the Mikado on the Sunday. Probably the busiest 2 weeks of the year.

I don't know how much I will get done as I received the worst news today. My best friend is dying. I am devastated. I have had trouble keeping it today today but there is one thing I can do and that is help her type up her report cards. So I probably won't get any scrapping done this weekend. First I have to finish mine!

Morning all. Just wanted to let you know that Sue has been AWOL due to a Telstra stuff up. She has had no internet since Mon night, and it could be as late as Fri next week until it is resolved. Grrrr Daily ramblings - Page 7 Icon_evil . She says she misses you all and is having major withdrawls. As soon as she is back online, I'm sure you'll know about it! Have a great day all!!!
