manually altered (eg, sanded, journalled on)

I've never used paint on stamps. It just doesn't sound right to me and sounds like it could end up either really messy or just plain bad!! Any tips on how to do it??

Just dab it on....

practise first on scrap paper....

apparently sponging it on is a good idea too Smile

with mine I stamped onto the paper, then once dry, I outlined the pattern in black fineliner to make it stand out more Smile

I have used paint on stamps before and I brushed it on! It worked fine.

I saw Kylie Howland's LO with the fantastic altered photo. Her tip for the website where you can alter your photos is great - you can do some amazing stuff! (I will definitely be adding that one to my favourites as I love playing around with my pics!) Very Happy
