Re: 'GO' Challenge!
Ok, so I'm late in joining, and I need to get 7 posts done before adding this, but better late than never right?

Re: 'GO' Challenge!
Hi Natasha! You are the second person today I've seen frustrated with taking pics of layouts. I'll tell you how I've worked out is best for me and maybe (hopefully) that will help someone
I always photo in natural light (preferably outside but if you have a nice light spot inside it's ok too) ... when it's sunny, but have the page in the shade. I photograph my pages flat on the concrete on our patio ... I blue tack each corner to stop it blowing away. I stand over my page and line up the edges of the page as best I can in my camera viewfinder - so it's as straight as possible. I always take at least 3 photos so I can chose the best one.
Once I've chosen my best photo, I edit in my fav online photo editing program Picmonkey (it's free!!). From here, I crop it, adjust the colour balance (click on neutral picker and click on a grey or white section to get your colour balance right) and auto adjust exposure.
Hopefully that's not too confusing ... it's actually really simple and makes such a difference to your masterpiece!
Good luck!!

Re: 'GO' Challenge!
Further to what Chloe said re: photographing LO's, I actually posted about this long ago in the Photography section of the forum here:
https://scrapbookingtop50.forumotion.net/t1582-photographing-layouts
I still use the same technique (tacked to the wall), although these days I tend to go "off the shoulder" rather than using a tripod (I really SHOULD though - naughty!)
I also edit mine using PicMonkey.
If anyone else has any tips for photographing or editing LO pics, you are welcome to add them to the thread.

Re: 'GO' Challenge!
this is probably a silly question but what do you do when you edit the photo??

Re: 'GO' Challenge!
I use PicMonkey (a free online editing program), so simply upload it there and edit away!
If you mean what do I do in terms of actual steps?
Usually crop, adjust exposure, adjust white balance if needed, tweak the sharpness if needed and resize. (I also add my own watermark.)
You can find PicMonkey here: http://www.picmonkey.com/
PicMonkey also has a good help section if you need it here: http://www.picmonkey.com/help
Hope that helps

Re: 'GO' Challenge!
Thanks for sharing that. It's came at a good time for me as I received a not so nicely worded comment on my blog today that I should take a better photo of my layout. I'm sure she was trying to be helpful but I took offense to it and thought she could of had more tact.
