Sept CM Chat!!

Are we all ready for another Top 50 Crafter's Market?? Well it seems the months are flying by and it really is that time again!! The Sept Market will run from Fri 2nd - Sun 4th (Father's Day)!! If you would like a 'stall' at the market, please add your name to the sign up list, and we will run it again like last month.

I think I'll have some new stuff. Still waiting to finalise a couple of orders from the last market!

Have a few new goodies up my sleeve for next market and did the rounds of the wholesalers yesterday
Had a few who ordered last time but then never followed through so that was a bit disappointing
Can't wait to see what the other sellers have on offer too .... hehehe

I was just thinking today, I wonder if the next CM date is up. Come on and here it is!!

I'm going to think about it this week... I'm on placement so even though I have grand ideas for new items, they're just not coming together quickly. Might just focus on the uni side of things and then get into the swing of scrapbooking once I finish in 7 weeks, 3 days

Lol i have no idea what i do and don't have ready to go, so i think i may be going without some sleep too!! Either that or it will be slim pickings from me this month!

Hi, I've also signed up for the market very excited but have never done anything like this before and hoping someone can help me out with a few questions....

Firstly when is the best time to load up our pics and set up the stalls?
Secondly, can anyone suggest what sort of quantities we should have prepared? do you girls usually make a whole heap of each item you've listed and hope for the best or do you just prepare a few of each then make more if someone orders?
I'm also not too sure about setting prices????

As you can see I have a LOT to learn so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Aga, good work signing up for your very first market!! Can't wait to see your goodies! I'll answer your questions the best i can for you!

1. Firstly when is the best time to load up our pics and set up the stalls?
All the stalls will be loaded up some stage Friday after noon (when i get a chance, lol) and your goodies can be loaded into your 'stall' from 7.30pm SA time (8pm AEST).

If you have not loaded piccies in the forum before, or you would just like to be prepared early, i have just had a bit of a play, and have found that if you want to get your stuff written up and ready to go early, you can actually write them up in a private message (pm) and send them to yourself! You will then have them in your inbox, ready to copy and paste at 7.30!! (Please note, if you are using Google Chrome, you will be able to copy and paste the text, but not the images, as Google Chrome don't offer this function yet. I have to go back to the much slower Internet Explorer to copy and paste my images! )

Depending what the item is, and if it is something i have new for the month or something i have had previous months, determines how many of each i have prepared. Most of my things are quick to make, so i will make up 3 or 4 of each if i have time, then make up extras as they are ordered! That way if they don't sell, i can play with them myself!! lol!!

Now for the prices, not knowing what it is you will be selling, makes it difficult to help here, but if you have a look thru the previous market folders, you will be able to get an idea on how everybody prices their things. Otherwise, google items similiar to what you make and see what you can come up with there!

Thanks for all the info Vicki it was all a BIG help! I've been looking through lots of the previous folders (so many nice things) and think I should be right for Friday!! Oh and great tip about sending yourself the info in a PM

Great tip about the PM Vicki! It was taking me an hour to upload things so hopefully now I can get prepared in advance. Don't want to miss the second part of Silent Witness at 8.30pm !!
