Recycled doilies Empty Recycled doilies

Post by Soupie Fri Nov 05, 2010 9:32 pm

All doilies shown below are from recycled materials. They have been hand dyed using food-based dyes to give a slightly uneven, worn look (especially perfect for shabby, vintage, grunge, etc.) I have made up some packs to start with based on what has already been dyed, but started with small amounts while I experimented with colours so all packs are one-offs. (First in, first served. Wink )

PACK ONE
4 round doilies approx 6cm across and 4 triangles approx 4cm across.
Colours green, rose pink, red, yellow.
$2.50
Recycled doilies Doilie11

PACK FOUR
4 doilies approx 5.5cm across, 4 squares approx 3 cms across.
Colours rose pink, emerald, red, blue
$2.50
Recycled doilies Doilie14

PACK FIVE
Rose pink pack - 1 doiley 5.5cms, 1 piece trim approx 16cm, 1 square approx 3cm, 1 triangle approx 4 cms, 1 half doiley approx 5cms

Hi Sue,
Is the updated listing still current?
I love them all.
I've just come home from a shocking day.
DH has been admitted to hospital with a clot in his lung and internal bleeding.
Hugs,
L xx

Recycled doilies Empty Re: Recycled doilies

Post by Linda_M Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:47 pm

He injured his hamstring at TKD on Thursday night and after a trip to Emergency was told to rest for 4 days and then start to have rehab treatment on it. He then passed out a couple of times at home - but thought it was the pain killers. His leg kept swelling but when no bruising appeared he was told by his sports physician to go back to the hospital today because it might be something more than a simple snapped hammy. So this afternoon they did ultrasounds, CT scans, ECGs and blood tests. They discovered that he had a 15cm x 4cm tear in his hamstring and internal bleeding. All the swelling was caused by the internal bleeding that had been going on since Thursday night. It had also caused a blot clot, which has become lodged on his lung. So now he's been transferred to another hospital and it's a case of waiting to see what they do now. His parents are up there with him now so I could come home to be with DD. Besides, I think all of my tears were making him worry more than he already was...
So... like all good wives, I've come home to my computer for a spot of comfort shopping at the Craft Market.
(At least I still have my warped sense of humour in tact).
