Remember how I said it was pudding weather? Well there's a self-saucing blackberry one in the oven right now...

Blackberry? Hm, haven't heard that one, will have to ask my Mum about that (she is the fantastic cook in my family). Smile

I've got a great dinner suggestion that we had the other night. I made a twist on cannelloni using tortillas. Just made a up a bolognese sauce, spooned it into the tortillas and rolled them up, then made a cheese sauce to spoon over the top (with a bit of extra cheese sprinkled on top). Put in in the oven (180 or so) until browned on top and served with salad. Was YUMMO!

Hope it was yummy Charm! I got home late yesterday and then rushed around getting DD organised for dinner, bath, bed, etc so hadn't eaten by the time we started chat. (Ended up having noodles in a cup afterwards!)
:lol!:
Am hoping to make up for it tonight with something good...just not sure what yet!

That sounds like something I would do!
I couldn't be bothered slaving over the stove tonight so I just whipped up a Spag Bol & chucked some garlic bread in the oven!

There must be some things you can have? What about something like chocolate milk or a Milo for a sweet treat? Surely that wouldn't be too bad? Just a spoonful in a glass of milk?

What about some of the sugar free jelly??? Or making your own custard but adding only a pinch of sugar and using skim milk?? Or stewing rhubarb and put a pinch of salt in it and this will sweeten it. You can even stew the rhubarb in the jelly (only half the liquid though LOL) and then when it sets you have a fruit jelly.
Summery things I know. How about some baked apples with dried fruit in the middle??

Sounds good Sue!

We had sausages on the BBQ with bread/bread rolls and a nice cold soft drink outside, was so lovely and cool outside.
