August Challenge Chat!!

Slow start here, I've started painting, not liked the painting so re-started again... not sure when I'll be happy hahaha. Photo's are mostly picked, and hoping the mojo will hit me sometime soon!

200 pics? Is that all? Or are they just the good ones. I went to the Zoo last weekend and got over 400 pics in one day......LOL.

Thanks Ant. about only taking 200 pics, some of the places we have already been to so, I have pics from the last time, also we had a video camera with us.

Hahaha - I still can't help myself - you must be very good at restraining yourself. I would take them anyways in the hope that I would get an EVEN better pic the second time around. Can't wait to see the ones you did take.

Ha you're so funny Ant, I'm a bit snap happy myself, as most people would notice I usually have more than one pic on my LO's cause I just can't chose which one I like best. You win for the most amount in one day though.

LOL Ant...once I get a decent camera I reckon I will give you a run for your money! The only thing thats stops me taking more pics at the moment is the fact that they arent the standard I want.

Having got my "Whispers" LO out of the way yesterday and also having just finished my challenge LO for next week's CC I think I might actually get a chance to make a start on one of the monthly challs tonight!

Okies I've just finished writing down the challenges & it's safe for all my scraping stuff to come back out now that inspection is over!


I'm not sure if this is the right spot to ask but I've noticed that from time to time the photo sizes are different. How do you get the different sizes (I no longer have a printer that connects to my camera) & living in a small country town the shop that does the printing only does 6x4 & upwards.

I may not get time to do all the challenges this month. We are heading down to Tasmania in a week and a half, but I'll try and do some.

It can be hard Aura. Our kiosks here only did 6x4 or 6x8, but now we have Big W we have a bigger selction. Havent worked out how to do smaller than 6x4 there yet, I'm sure I saw something about wallet sizes but haven't looked into it.
The only thing I used to be able to do to get the smaller size was to not crop the pic as much so that I could cut the photo down to the size I wanted.

Aura, what I do to get smaller pics is to edit my photos online using www.picnik.com
I use the "collage" feature to put 2 photos on the page and then crop the whole thing to make sure its 6x4. (So each pic is 2x3.) Then when I go to print I dont have to worry about re-sizing anything while I'm there or paying for different sizes coz they are all just 6x4. Check it out coz it might help you out, and if you have any dramas just PM me and I will give you a hand.

Sounds good, I might have to try that myself. I just do them at the kiosk....but at some places that is REALLY expensive. Thankfully I have found one that is pretty cheap, but your idea is even cheaper.

If you are using the Kodac kiosk things the wallet photos usually do mulitiples of the same pic and the collage section is where you get to put 2 or 4 different photos on the same photo....hope that makes sense?

I've all challenges except Vicki's to do - I feel sooo slack!!! Hopefully I can get them completed this weekend at retreat Lots of cropping to be done!!!

I am alive Nikki, just been sick as a dog the last few days.

On the challenge front, I still have Vicki's chall and the dare chall to go. Hoping to get both of them knocked over on the weekend, providing the mojo returns now I am feeling a bit better.

Sorry to hear you've been sick Sue...certainly a lot going around atm. Glad you are feeling better, hopefully the mojo quickly follows.

PS...have fun @ retreat girls, hope you get lots done!
