Re: July Crop Chat!!
I think I have what I'm doing sorted - If I can extricate myself from the over-heated baby orangutan I seem to have given birth to I might have a chance of getting something done!!!
Re: July Crop Chat!!
Hehehe treens - hope you got loose. Shaz - with that Avatar pic I would say entertainer for sure....she looks like she is doing a great song and dance for everyone....!
Re: July Crop Chat!!
thanks Hey Vicki you wouldn't recognise Dommy, he literally just lays on me, no movement!!! He did perk up a bit with some neurofen (made him hyper for a while) but he slipped back to 'clingy' too soon... poor bubba, if he's like this again tomorrow I might take him to the hospy to rule out an infection somewhere, no rashes or coughs or tummy upsets etc, but something is making him quite ill....
Re: July Crop Chat!!
Hope he gets better soon Treens. Tori did the same thing to me last year (or maybe it was earlier this year) and I was very worried. We never did figure out what was wrong, even though she was close to being admitted to hospital. After a couple of days she was fine again.....it was awful to see!
Re: July Crop Chat!!
it's worrying more I think when you have no explanation... I mean if there was a rash I could give it a name... We're weird things us mumma's... worry about the smallest things - or that could just be me LOL
Re: July Crop Chat!!
teeth have all cut through last week... nup, not teeth, just miserable I was expecting a rash today thinking it could be measles because he does have a slightly drippy nose, but that's all.. a drippy nose... nothing else...
Re: July Crop Chat!!
Nah it isn't just you. When your child behaves differently to how they normally do us Mums know something is wrong. With Tori I think the only reason they sent her home was because I was a nurse, but I was a bit beside myself at the time....Tori has several health risks associated with her achondroplasia and I was concerned for that reason. It was horrible....she was soooooooooo lethargic it scared me - I thought I was being neurotic but when another nurse friend saw her and said she was very worried I knew that I wasn't over reacting. It was a good 3 or 4 days before she was even a slight sembelence of her old self. I hope Dom doesn't take that long to get better and if you do go to the doctors I pray that you get better ones than we got that day!
BTW , I think I could say that most doctors are not familiar with achondroplasia but only very few would actually acknowlege this! Case in point - the doctor in this case was nodding feverantly in agreement when I said Tori had achondroplasia. She then asked (and I kid you not) "and how long has she had that?" I looked at her in said "Ummmmmmm - since birth!!!!"

OMG!!! some Doctors need kicking in the proverbials!!! It's like when they ask me over and over and over how I know my children have anaphylactic reactions - then they ask have I actually seen them anaphylax!!! I know there are people out there who say they have allergies etc but they don't, but we have epi-pens and all!! Nothing like what they've said to you - but seriously they treat parents like we're all hypochondriacs! Grrrrr
Well Dommy just woke for some neurofen, grisley but still no rashes - he's back down to sleep, he's slept a lot today - hopefully it'll help!!!
I've finally had a chance to open my scrappy mail that was delivered at 8.30am!!! I've got the most perfect paper for Charm's challenge and a free Kaiser mag hehehehe I guess at the very least I have more reading material/drooling for tomorrow I'm really loving the look of their two new releases

Re: July Crop Chat!!
hokeys, Nahtan just reminded me that he's leaving for work at 7.30am so I'll need to be on deck... think that's a hint to go to bed hahhaa I probably should while the house is quiet - that's me being logical.. the scrapper in me wants to get down and do some scrapping whilst I can!!!!
Why does the logical side always win out?!?!?!?
Niiight all

Re: July Crop Chat!!
Cool - hope you enjoy your pack and book. I too got a scrappy parcel today...how cool is that? As for "have you ever seen your kids have a reaction" - you must be tempted to say "Why don't you give them some .....(insert whatever here) and see for yourself....but just hang on for a minute while I get the epi pen out and can you just call some DECENT doctors to be here when you give it!" Grrrrrr. I think they think that we acutally ENJOY being there.....I will for one go on record and say....."I don't"
Better go to bed now....hugs to you. Mwah.

Re: July Crop Chat!!
Treens, I hope Dom is feeling better!
I am feeling pretty average myself - have a very sore throat and croaky voice, so guess it's all downhill from here. Felt so yuck last night I worked on Ant's CC chall for a while then gave up and went to bed. Am hoping to get it finished today so I can start on Charms chall though!

Re: July Crop Chat!!
Feeling rather over it all today. Just one of those days where you wish you didn't have to get out of bed in the first place and nothing gets much better after that.
So no scrapping, as much as I want to, or hooking for me because I'm sure it will all end up in a disaster tonight.
We're going for a family day drive tomorrow if the weathers good. Have baked some Anzacs and some choc chip cupcakes to take. Will throw some snags on a bbq somewhere for lunch and have in bread.
Hope to visit Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary. Randalls been there but the rest of us haven't. Mustn't forget the camera.
Have a great night

Hey whatever works Treens, glad you got it going again. I have all my photos ready to start these but need to feel like my house is secure before I can relax and find the mojo. Almost gone through a block of chocolate stressing

YAY Treens, glad you got it sorted! And YAY Becci, glad your mojo is home!
Shaz, definitely dont worry about scrapping until you feel relaxed again. And hey, if it takes chocolate to do it, then I say go right ahead! Its been a pretty awful day for you!
I am hoping to get stuck back into the CC challs tonight - have 2 to go. How is everyone else doing???
