Just another thought, wjat about those flowers where you cut a circle and then cut little wedges into the centre? It's a flower but not girly. Will see if I can find a pic.

You could always do lollipop flowers treena, or little flowers on a tree - that could cover the flowers and leaves!!

Had another thought. Will try to post a (dodgy) pic later for you. I have seen flowers where you criss cross ribbon and then have a botton or brad as the centre. Going to make a sun like one for another challenge later today.

Becci I've been a bit nervous about doing swaps just in case what I do really sucks compared to everyone else

I so totally love the sun/flowers that you did. I'll have to have a go at that

I have really only become involved in swaps since coming here. Even though I have done a few now, I am still worried that what I do will not be liked - so I am not sure that feeling ever goes. What I do know though is that I try my hardest to put something out there that you will all like or use, and I think that is all any of us in the swaps can ask for! Go on gals...join in and give it a go! You will love getting the parcel in the post with everyone elses stuff in it!

Girls, I can't speak for everyone else in the swaps, but for me, participating in the swaps is not about what I get back from the other participants, its just all about having fun. Please don't hold back from signing up because you feel your work isn't up to standard, because that's not what it is about! If you are keen next month, but stuck for ideas of what you could do just let me know, I am happy to help you come up with something!

I hope everyone who wants to have a go will sign up!!!

Aura that's exactly what I was worried about. PLus I do find it hard as I have boys to scrap and lots is girl orientated. Taht's why I think the ribbon/buttons might be a good place to start.

I don't have any kids myself LOL so any child LOs are of my "nephew" (he's actually my 2nd cousin) but his mother & I dont talk or see each other anymore so I've gone to scraping old pics of friends kids.
My dog features heavily in some pages PMSL BUT a couple people have tracked down my year 12 graduation/formal pics so it's just a matter of getting them printed.

Just an idea but what if we all put up a pic of our swaps this month to show the girls who are a bit nervous about participating. That way they can get a general idea of what it involves. It is really easy, oh except if you decide to make a heart hot air baloon and it takes hours to do just one!!! Those in the May heart swap will see what I mean.
It really is fun and exciting waiting for the mail to arrive each month.

Just had a thought, I might post this in the swap thread too.
