Challenge 2: Sue's Challenge

This month my challenge to you all is to get you out of your "comfort zone" and into something that you either haven't tried before or don't do very often...a different sized layout!!!

This month my challenge is to scrap a layout that is sized 8.5 x 11" (a size I only recently tried myself!) and to also include the following criteria:
- scrap an "imperfect" photo. This could mean blurry / out of focus, framed incorrectly, colours wrong, over / under exposed...anything, so long as it has SOMETHING obviously wrong with it! You also need to distress the photo in some way.
- handwritten journalling
- doodling

Great challenge Sue. I'm thinking of doing an album for DD of her last year of primary school in a size other than 12x12 so might try a page this size for it.

Mmmm, I've never scrapped in that size... Will be a real challenge for me. But that's what its all about, isn't it?!

Cool - I have only ever done one LO in a smaller version and really like trying something new - can't wait to give this a go!

Not sure if I will have any bad photos though - being that I am now a really good photographer......hehehehe . (Just joking)

Love the layout Sue. Not sure about the size though, or bad pics I always bin the bad ones

I know a few of you might have reservations about the size, (I did too when I was first challenged to scrap in this size). The one thing you will discover though, is that the change of dimensions gives your LO a whole new perpsective! (And like me, you might actually end up enjoying it!)

Great challenge Sue! I love scrapping in that smaller size, it's nice for a change. Love your layout...that lace is gorgeous! Hoping with the school holidays on, I'll get more time to scrap this month.

I was lucky enough to get that lace in a recent swap here and had been dying to use it!

Quick question. Can the photo we use be an edited one. I have some photos that I would love to use that were always way too dark to use, but they look kind of cool when I blow out the contrast and brightness a bit and desaturate them a bit. I could include a copy of the original to show you that the photo was 'bad' to begin with.

Do they still look "imperfect?"

I think so long as they still look like something less acceptable than what you would normally bother to scrap (or even print!) they will be OK.

(I was lucky with my pic - blurry, too dark and poorly framed - we have a winner! LOL)

Ah, gotcha!! I always have every intention of getting them done before the cc starts, but i normally end up spending too much time chatting on here and not enough time scrapping!! lmao!!

Hoping my 'imperfect' photo passes your criteria...many would say that half or less than half heads would be chuckable, but this one is pretty special to me.

I have finished this one too!! Just waiting on some nice weather to take a phot of it!! I have also used a half face photo!! lol!!
