A penny for your thoughts...
Hi everyone,
I thought I would share my photography blog link with you all.
I have done a few weddings now over a few years and I think the time is getting closer to putting together a price list and packages etc... Maybe just taking a little step forward...
I have very little idea on what photographers charge. If anyone could give me some feedback it would make for a terrific guide for me.
My blog link is http://julieshappysnaps.blogspot.com/
Any tips, feedback good and bad would be so appreciated!!! I am slowly becoming more confident with photoshop.
Thanks so much!!!!!!

Re: A penny for your thoughts...
Hi Julie, what fantastic photos of the weddings To answer your question about how much to charge, my son uses different photographers all the time to shoot fashion for his magazine as well as seasonal shots for fashion launches & they would charge around $1000 for the day. Hope this helps.

Julie, I can't help you out with prices I'm afraid, as I haven't hired a photographer recently. I will tell you that your pics are stunning though, and that you really should "take a step forward" as you put it - as you are more than capable! (Why not, if you can make some money on the side doing something you love?)
I definitely look forward to following your progress!

Your photos are awesome Julie. I love the one of the mens shoes all lined up under the chest. Very cool. Cant wait to see more. BTW - I love the photo of the couple in front of the house with the sunlight coming in....just amazing.
As for cost, I am not really sure, but what I do know is that wedding photography usually costs a ton more than regular photography. Maybe you could go around your area and suss out other photographers prices for packages and the likes? It might give you a better idea of what to charge.
Good luck getting the business started.
