This challenge is based on the Urban Grunge style of Scrapbooking! What is Urban Grunge you ask, well its layouts consisting of materials such as mesh, metal, dog tags, bottle tops and staples!!
Corrugated paper, cardboard and barbed wire are typical materials used in this style. This style lends itself to heavily inked edges, and lots of distressing. Black and white altered photos are typically used, as well as strip journaling and a random approach to title letters. Colours such as black, brown, blue, grey, silver or anything military looking suit this style!
To do this style at home, think distressing and lots of it!! Tear up your paper, smear ink on everything and sand til your hearts content! It will be great for stress relief!! J
Alter your photos in a photo editing program, converting you pic to black and white then playing around with the saturation and contrast features!!
