Re: Daily ramblings
Morning Everyone,
Hope that you are all doing well today. It is a bit chilly here this morning and I have holes in my walls as we are doing renovations. Lots of banging going on.
Hopefully today I will get some cleaning done and write some music for my kids to play tomorrow night. (I teach about 20 kids and adults inclusive)
Sounds like another truck is here so I will go and investigate and take some photos in the vain hope that I will put together a renovation album.
Hope things work out better next week Julie with the markets.
Have a great day and Take care

Re: Daily ramblings
OK - so how would you respond to this?
Me: Looking in the mirror fixing my hair...."Oh, wow I have lots of greys right now..."
DH: Coming into the room...."Yep - I noticed them glowing in the sunlight the other morning when you were sleeping...."

Re: Daily ramblings
oh lol!!! If Pete pulled mine out I'd have none at all in the front I have no greys in the back at all and I'm totally grey in the front.....thank goodness for hairdye!!
Re: Daily ramblings
LOL, mine just go white, so i can still get away with just getting my hair streaked and calling them blonde!!
Re: Daily ramblings
Hope everyone is having a good day.
The Baby elephant is so cute. We still have to go and see her, can't wait!
Here are a few pics from the reno that I promised.
A little explanation found it funny the guys trying to put the porto-loo somewhere (mind you they come in handy when your kids need to go when you are out looking at Christmas lights). My kids also like cement trucks, then there are a couple of the framing going in for our new study, toilet, laundry, storage room and rumpus room. Huge reno but it will be so worth having the extra space.
Hope this works and the pics aren't too big.
We have lots of banging today and windows going in. Lots of fun.
Take Care and have a great day

Re: Daily ramblings
Very cool Sharon....the boys must be in 7th heaven watching all the banging and drilling etc. You sound like you are going to get a heap of extra room. Hope you can keep posting update pics - and of course a pic at the end.
Re: Daily ramblings
Speaking of building. We went up to the house yesterday....and found they had started putting the kitchen in.....how exciting. Do you like so far?
We should be moving in about the middle or end of April! This has been going on for so long....it is hard to believe that it is almost finished.

Re: Daily ramblings
The kitchen looks great. I bet you can't wait until the end of April.
P.S. the kids love watching what is going on and all the power tools. Windows should be in by tomorrow but our sliding door was damaged so that won't be fixed until end of next week.
Take Care

Lovin' the pics!
Anthea, your kitchen looks great! You must be really excited! We had our kitchen and floors done (floorboards) a year ago and it was so worth the wait! I am so happy with the end product!!!
Next thing is the two other bathrooms and the laundry (we've already done the ensuite), which will be happening very soon.

Re: Daily ramblings
I have been a bit quiet the last couple of days cos we made a flying visit to Adelaide (a 4.5hr drive from my house) Tuesday morning and home again Wednesday morning!! DH and i made the trip without the kiddies. We left them with my m.i.l. and although they stay with her all the time, we had never been so far away from them, and we had to be back to get them by 1pm Wed so she could go to work, but it was definately worth it as we went and ROCKED IT OUT with 45,000 other people at the ACDC concert!! It was totally AWESOME!! We were standing about 40 metres from the stage and could see everything!! It all seems so surreal now tho cos it was such a quick trip!!
I did however manage to (just) squeeze in a visit to the new Kaiser Outlet store!! It was smaller than i expected, but carried heaps of stuff!! And i did get some new goodies to play with!!
Hope everybody has been having a good week. I have a busy day tomorrow with my parents up for the day, and DD goes to playgroup for 2 hrs over lunch. DH also has night shift tomorrow night, so i think it will be a LONG day!! Then we have a wedding on Saturday!! BUSY BUSY BUSY!! Hopefully it will slow down on the home front after that!!

Re: Daily ramblings
That's awesome Vicki! ACDC is also coming to Perth but we haven't got any tickets!
I hear what you're saying Kathie! Hope you get a good night's rest!
Life is a bit hectic here as well! DS has his Year 12 Ball tomorrow night and DD is swimming in the National Qualifyer Meet on Saturday morning! I think I'll be happy when its Sunday!
At least the temperature has dropped a bit here in Perth and we had a lovely 26 degrees today! Tonight is only going to be 12!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend girls!

Re: Daily ramblings
So glad you enjoyed ACDC Vicki! My boss went and saw them in Melbourne.
Everyone has a busy weekend ahead by the sounds of it!
I am still in shock that it is March already... this was my year to go slow, not quite going to plan
