Challenge 1 - Make & Bake

Ingredients:

* 2 photos
* 1 alpha
* 5 flowers
* 8 brads
* colour Green
* word 'New'

Directions:

Use exact amount of ingredients, no more or no less, mix together to create one hell of a layout! Once you're through, post and enjoy!

This challenge runs from May 27th - June 30th. Layouts must be done according to the instructions and posted in the GALLERY by Midnight June 30th!

how cool and having a scrap day at my place next Monday so might print it out and get all the girls to participate and then they might join the forum too.

woohoo the more who join up the more fun! We have a lot of things in store via the forum in the next couple of months...glad you like the challenge! I was going to make it more complex but decided to go with something a little easier to start off with

Ok. Here are my beginners questions! What does 1 alpha mean? Is this one type of font? Secondly, colour green, is this just supposed to be the dominant colour (but can have other colours on the LO)? Next is about the word 'new'. Can this be used in the heading or journalling/etc? And last but not least, are we not supposed to use any more embellishments such as ribbon, buttons, bling, etc, only the ones listed?

I answer for you but anyone can correct me if I'm wrong:

alpha - one kind of style of lettering (can be thickers, chipboard, hand made, etc)
green - main colour focus
new - in title or journalling
nothing else on layout except what is in list (no other ribbons, buttons, bling, etc)

Excellent, thanks Christine! I think this challenge is great. It gives me some focus as a beginner. My thoughts have been consumed with scrap ideas since the June Challenge Combo was posted. I was even thinking about it last night going to bed! :lol!:

That is the making of a true scrabooker there. Wait until you start dressing subjects to match the patterned paper you have just bought.

Ok, now I got it as well, was wondering about the 1 alpha, but you've answered that one very clearly.
