it raining

It is raining here too. Fantastic sound huh? (But won't be using the clothesline today....) Vicki, I am so glad you got to enjoy the ACDC concert...I bet it was a blast. Hope everyone gets the rest they need soon....nothing worse than needing a good night sleep and a good day resting on the couch and not getting it. Have a good one everyone. Hugs.

Friends of mine went to the ACDC concert in Sydney and they also had a blast! I have been told that a certain someone is going to take me to the Port Fairy Folk Festival sometime this weekend! I love going to that festival, it doesnt cost to get in, unless you go to the tent area, not sure what is in there as I have never been in that area, why pay to go there when you can walk around for free and visit all the stalls with the beautiful candles, sarongs, wood furniture etc. There are also some great bands playing and acts to see as well. Other than that I will be relaxing. It is raining here also might need heater on tonight!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We have had MORE RAIN here today (like south-east Qld needed any more!) and we are longing for a day of sunshine here on the "Sunshine" Coast!

I have also got a sick DD, who caught a bug from her cousin (Mandy's DS) while we were in Brissie during the week. I got a text from Mandy in Japan this morning to tell me that they had arrived safely last night, so am looking forward to hearing her travel tales when she gets back in a couple of weeks.

Other than that, pretty quiet here. I had visitors this avo, so have had no scrapping time today, so am about to go and get some done while DD is sleeping soundly. (Thank goodness for Panadol!)

Hi girls!! Not much happening here today....just taking it easy and trying to get the washing dry ...bit of a hard task today and infact anytime over the last few days....oh but I love the rain so much and it was so nice to wake up to the rain on the roof this morning.....lovin' it heaps....sorry to anybody who was not ready for the summer to be over!!

I wish the summer was over in Perth already Kathy! We had a nice mild weekend - can't complain, but unfortunately it's going to be another hot week ahead! LOL Can you send a bit of your rain this way?!!

We went to a wedding out of town yesty, which was really good, but when we were driving the 30mins home, it was raining so heavy it was really hard to drive. We were doing 80ks in a 110 zone, and were being flung all over the road when we hit a puddle, which was really scary!! So glad DH was driving and not me!! Anyway, about half way home it stopped!! No rain at all for the rest of the trip!! I checked the gauge when we got home and we had only had 4mms!! We have been missing all the rain of the last few days, and have been having nice warm but overcast days!!

It was absolutely beautiful Kathie!! The couple that were married have been together for 14 years, since school, and went to school with DH, so i have known them for the last 10 years too!! It was great that they finally got married!! The brides dress was gorgeous, and the reception was great!!

I did eat some seafood that didn't really agree with me tho, so came home with a thumping headache, and needing to chuck, and then we had all the rain for the drive home, but i'm not letting that put a dampner on the day!!

Sorry bout the seafood "surprise" Vicki.....its never nice to feel that way....Yes it is nice when a fairytale has a great ending....I love to see weddings too!!!

Yeah, i'm not entirely sure what happened. I am allergic to crayfish, but can eat every other type of seafood i have ever tried, but there were blue swimmer crabs on the plate - which i didn't try cos i thought they might be like crayfish - and maybe they were touching something that i did eat. DH did eat a LOT of the crab tho, so maybe it was even his fault!!

We are heading out for a family fishing trip now - lol!! - so hopefully i will be back later tonight with news of a BIG catch!! Don't hold your breathe tho!! lol!!

Glad you are feeling better now Vicki and I hope you did well fishing. I just got in from work and thought I would see if anything was happening here. Just checked out the gallery....great LOs gals. We have had a ton of rain here today....I hear that both highways between Sydney and here are closed due to flooding....I think that is unheard of. I was kind of hoping it would rain through the night as I love the sound of rain on the roof....but alas....I think it stopped the minute I walked through the door. Oh well. Oh - I think it just started again....thats my cue. Night all.

Oh I do hope we get rain tonight. Love the sound of it on the roof. Going by the radar we might cop a thunderstorm about midnight which will be excellent.

LOL, i only like it to rain during the night!! I hate having to make the kiddies stay indoors when its raining all day!!

Well, the fishing trip was a waste of time!! We caught a skate (like a stingray) and that was it!! The kids had a ball getting covered in sand tho, but it was very windy and cold. We did cook up some sausages and hamburgers in the back of the 4wd tho and had tea down there so i didn't have to cook when we got home!! The best part tho, was that the kids wore themselves out so much that when we got home, we threw them in the shower, then straight into bed!! Woohoo!! Then DH went to bed too!! Yippee, scrappy time for me!!
