thanks, yea we have the air con running as well, and have a water cooler to drink from which helps

Don't mind it warm but this heat is just too much!! I don't know how you girls survive with little kids and no air cons.....I suppose I did it once too and I do remember being a single mum with only a slowcombustion stove for cooking and hot water!!! Oh dear those were the days.... :O

We've got fans here, and that's all we had when we were kids too...
remember putting your face up to it and talking so you sounded like a robot?

hahahaha not when I was a kid, because we didn't have fans back then.......but as a young mum I did do that and made the kids laugh like mad......my oldest told me that he'd drive so that i could sit in the back of the ute and get the "dog face" look happening.....that was quite funny... :lol!:

I'm sitting here in hystricls remembering my son saying it and he was quite serious too.....man that would have been a site.....an 10 year old boy driving and his mum sitting in the back with her mouth open.......

I have a HUGE day today...

It is my Grandmothers 80th party, then my Uncles 50th.

I unfortunately will miss my Grandmothers and some of my Uncles party as I was booked to do a wedding shoot.... so bummed!

The wedding has so much driving around involved. I am looking forward to about 8pm tonight!

It is also my 11th wedding anniversary today!!!!

Wow Julie, that is a HUGE day you have planned!! Happy Anniversary!! I hope you get to spend sometime with your hubby today, and you make it to your family party sometime tonight!! Its awesome that you get to photograph weddings tho!! People must really love your photography!! Congrats Girl!!

As for me, it will be a day of cleaning the house and bumming around!! Hubby is at work til 8pm, and the kiddies are meant to be going to m.i.l.'s house for a sleep over tonight. It will be DS's first time and i don't know how he will go cos he is teething and terribly clingy, but she doesn't live too far away, so we will give it a try!! He's got to get used to it for when we go away for ACDC in March!!

Vick - I hope you enjoy some time to yourself - kid free - that rarely happens around here. I plan on having a very quiet weekend here. Feeling pretty blah - so just plan on taking it easy.

And as for the fan talk.....Sue I remember doing that do. How fun was it....? I used to love it. And Kathie - that would of been hillarious. The cops wouldn't have even pulled you over because they would of thought that they were dreaming!

Happy Anniversary Julie - so much to do in one day!

Ummmmmmm I was up early doing the washing & getting it out on the line before it got too hot.........my neighbours must've thought I was odd doing washing so early AND in my P.J's my hair wasn't even done . In my defence I was trying to figure out what to where to work today
I decided to get fuel after work before it goes up (oh & it will ) then I came up to mums to steal the computer & spend some quality time with my gorgeous dog. I just dread getting the washing OFF the line now - it's so hot!

Our fuel went WAY up here yesterday... And DP had a terrible time on the road for work this morning as lots of people heading up the highway to the coast for the weekend...that's what happens when you live in a tourist destination!

Oh dear girls.....fuel going up???? We put fuel in both cars on Thursday, now I'm thankful that we did!! its been a lovely day here, cool breeze, quite hot in the sun but the house has stayed cool and we didn't need to have the air con going!! think you call that a win win situation!!
well off to get the girls their tea and get them into bed they really need an early night tonight!!

Has anyone been watching the show about the Haiti disaster? I'm not sure what channel it's on. All the celebraties are on the phones taking donations and others are singing and hosting. It's so sad, they are showing all the orphan babies, I just want to go over there and pick them up and give them a great big hug and bring them back here to live with me. My house is in no way big enough but we'd manage. I let DS stay up later tonght so I could just cuddle him. It's so sad, yeah had to grab a tissue. I just said to DH how how lucky we are to live in this beautiful country of ours.

its a sad thing indeed......I can't watch it, anybody who knows me will know exactly how I feel about children and I would be in tears and grief stricken at the sight......my heart breaks for this nation and those who are left behind to suffer. Like most people I'd just like to scoop them up in my arms and give them a home too.....

I was watching the news the other night and they were talking about the kids and showing pics of orphaned babies and I was just bawling...it was so sad to see babies wearing tags with numbers on them because nobody knew their names. I too, just wanted to pick them all up and take them home. My heart is breaking for all the people of Haiti...
