sorry to hear that you have been undet the weather Julie, that is no good at all....even worse now that the kids have it to!!
Well girls hopefully today will be a lot better than yesterday, if you read my blog you will know what I'm chatting about. I'm off to teach a class in about an hours time.....always fun.....today they are learning how to use the bigshot (similar to a sizzix but bigger, made by same people) this will be a whole lot of fun, I'm slowly introducing different tools for them to have a play with. they were all beginners to start with, lovely girls they are!! Very Happy
Not much else happening today, school interviews tonight, Pete is on earlies this week, 5.00am starts :O I do feel sorry for him......well a little bit sorry....... lol
Will catch up with you all soon.....just a word of warning girls, I managed to electrocute myself on Sunday morning, the iron had a faulty cord.....thank God that when it zapped me I wasn't touching anything metal, my arm was tingly most of the day and a bit painful to start with.....ouch.....please check your appliances....the damage to our iron couldn't be seen until you examined the cord at the base of the iron......just a warning to check them frequently!! I'm still here thank God, but it could have been worse....

Oh Kathie, so glad you are OK! I must say I am guilty of taking electricity for granted!
Hope your class goes well. I have nevr played with a Sizzix or Bigshot, just never had the chance. It is great that you are introducing them to new toys Smile

Julie, hope you are feeling better soon. Kathie, step away from the iron! You need to watch yourself and I will be very upset if you go hurting yourself in the future Smile. I had a shock once before and it scared the living daylights out of me and hurt like buggery. Will go and check your blog out now. I am having a quiet day at home. Just got back from playgroup and am kind of stuck here because I am waiting for an important call this arvo. As some of you know, some issues going on here and it really has come to a head. I am asking everyone to keep me in their thoughts and prayers this week. I need all the strength and support I can get and I need to keep telling myself that I am a strong person - no matter what certain people throw in my way - I will overcome it with dignity! Kathie, that song....."The Climb"......this week it is my song. I will get over this mountain if it is the last thing I ever do. (Actually right now I am starting to think that it might be the last thing I ever do - the stress is going to give me a heart attack -I swear!) Hugs all round!

Ant, keep your chin up sweetie, you WILL get through this! Whilst it looks like a big mountain ahead of you right now, you just need to break the journey down into smaller parts - whether that be day at a time, hour at a time, or even just the next 10 minutes. Get through one, then move onto the next. Take strength from each one that you pass and know that you are in my thoughts!

Thanks everyone for your moral support. I really need it as any support I get just makes me feel stronger and able to deal with the crap that is coming my way right now......strength in numbers so they say! Maybe we can be called the scrapbooking top 50 army. Sue- I so wish I could not worry.......but I think that is my middle name Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_biggrin . Things will get better....I know they will! In the meantime - to take my mind of things - I can scrap! Infact - I think scrapping might just be what the doctor ordered!

Speaking of worry - here is a little story that always makes me laugh:

Why worry?

You're either sick or you're well.

If you're well, there's no problem.

If you're sick - you can either get better or worse.

If you get better, there's no problem.

If you get worse, you will either live or die.

If you live, there's no problem.

If you die, then you'll either go to heaven or hell.

If you go to heaven, there's no problem.

If you go to hell, you'll be so busy shaking hands with all your old friends, you won't have time to worry.

Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_biggrin Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_biggrin Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_biggrin

Oh and while I am at it.....there are some people in my life who I would really like to show this to......

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree" sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy"
Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull.
They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
Moral of the story: Bulls&%$ might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Post by redant Wed Feb 24, 2010 8:44 pm

Howdy everyone.....just popped in quickly to say hello. Julie, hope you are feeling better. Kath....hope you are over your shock....I am thinking the moral to your story is ..... dont iron! Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_biggrin

Yesterday - much to my disgust, I had the day off work!! (Yep - I gave in - was going to fight hard, but in the end realised I just don't have it in me....Sad) After lots and lots of discussions and lots and lots of tears and so much stress it isn't funny - I have finally admitted to myself it is time to move on and change jobs. I love what I do, but right now the stress associated with it is just not worth it. Wish me luck in whatever it is that I decide to do. I am thinking photography would be fun! Not sure if it will pay the bills though? (Also any ideas on a new career would be welcome). Obviously this wont happen tomorrow...but by mid year I am hoping to have found something else.

Anyways - with my day off I decided to clean. Yep....clean. For the first time in ages I wouldn't be at all embarressed if someone came to the door and said can I come in. I also finally have a clothes line again (after about 4 -5 months of not having one) and I went crazy hanging washing out and now I have a sore shoulder to proove it. Who ever thought one would be excited about a clothesline? You know life must be boring when you get excited about a clothes line and getting up in the morning to a clean house.

Speaking of houses - some fun news from me. They have started putting the kitchen in the new house....and it looks awesome. They are saying we should be in by about mid April. Finally a date in sight. If you haven't seen pics of it as yet....go check my family blog out...there are some on it. You can get to it from my scrapping blog. I will try to update the pics on it sometime this week.

Oh - and DD seems to be toilet trained....yeah! A few accidents, but just a few and she is doing great. It has been 10 days of being in undies and being dry...even after some of her sleeps. We are pretty proud of her. Now we just have to figure out a way of teaching her to get on and off the toilet by herself and teaching her how to wipe herself. It will be interesting.

Now Vick and Charm, cant wait to hear your exciting news.....hope it is much better than mine. Anything has to be more exciting that getting a new clothes line. Better go...hogging up space here. Take care everyone Daily ramblings - Page 27 301489 .

Ant, I am with Kathie, you SHOULD be a writer! You really do have a knack for telling stories! And I can TOTALLY understand your excitement about the washing line - I have been living here in this unit without a proper one for 7 years now! Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_eek We are supposed to be moving around April / May and high on my wish list is definitely a washing line!!! Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_wink Don't worry too much about what you are going to do - something will always come up...cream always rises to the top! Daily ramblings - Page 27 Icon_wink

Hey Ant, you should write kids stories!! Smile You would be awesome at it!!

I hear your excitement about the washing line too, when we moved into our house 6yrs ago, our house had had a verandah built on the back, and for some reason they didn't bother to move the clothes line, so it couldn't spin cos it was too close to the pole, so after putting up with that for about a month, i cracked the shites, went and bought a bag of cement, dug the clothes line up and moved it out another foot!! I haven't had a problem with it since, and i think that was the moment DH realised if i wanted something done, i wouldn't wait for him, i would just do it myself!! Smile
