Daily ramblings

Well, we are home from the Drs, he thinks it is just gastro, although i'm not entirely sure about that due to the back pain she was having. She has been having the lower back pain for a few months now, and tends to complain about it while she is sitting down eating her tea (thats the only meal we can get her to sit still for), so i'll have to keep an eye on that to see if it continues. Other than that, he took a wee sample to make sure it isn't anything worse, and i have to ring for results tomorrow arvo!!

On the up side tho, there is major renovations going on at our Drs clinic, so we had to park in the Spotlight carpark next door, so i snuck into spotlight while we were there and got soe cool Kaiser Doodled Frame Stamps!! And a new pink ink and texta, seeing as both of mine decided to dry up during last months cc!!

Hi Vicki. I did think that it may be a UTI. They can cause the most excruicating pain in the kidney/back region.
I'm glad that you managed to get somethings from spotlight!! Did that make you feel better????? I certainly hope so!!

a bit of retail therapy always makes me feel better!! Still very tired tho!! Will need a few more coffee's before the day is thru!!

Thanks Vicki, we are a bit disappointed about it, but its how the cookie crumbles and I just hope that whoever buys her restores her to the condition that is required!! We just loved her!! We were getting really excited coz we were going to be able to get all of our furniture out of storage that has been in storage for more than 3 years!!! I have a huge solid double pedistal extending table, a massive oak sideboard and pete has a dresser that was bought out from Holland when his dad and mum emigrated here when he was only 7 months old !! To say nothing of the boxes of items that we cannot unpack and my beautiful antique lounge suite that belonged to my Nan !!! I think we get the picture.....so I'm really hanging out to get something that is right for us! Its just a bit hard to take sometimes...... Never mind.....I'm sure that there is a right property out there for us!!
Thanks Vicki....oh careful with the coffee or you will be swimming!!! I don't drink it only tea......but I don't know that tea will fire you up like coffee will!!!

Oh Kathie, that house would have been perfect with all that gorgeous furniture!! Oh well, there will be something else just as grand!!

Vicki I hope your DD gets better real soon. Try another doctor in a while if you are still concerned in a few days. Some just aren't thorough enough I reckon. You must be tired as. Glad to hear Spotlight came to your aide a little! Good ol' Spotlight!

Kathie, sorry to hear about your house - I know how you feel when you get your heart set on a home - it's a bit like falling in love! You know what though - I bet you'll find one even better! That's how it worked out for me! And you'll know that it was meant to be after all. I can understand that you are busting though! House hunting is exciting though! For me anyway!!!

I do love a good house hunt!! The problem is here in Seymour there are not a lot of nice ones in our price range......funny how you can get a largely welfare town but the prices of houses, nice ones, starts at about $300,000!!! Go figure...and who wants to pay half their wages in repayments????? not I said the little red hen!!!! Means my scrapping business would have to go as it makes no money and costs me a huge amount to run ......really doesn't bare thinking about does it????? I'm sad we missed it, but part of me just says well something else will turn up!!! I really thank you girls for your encouragement.....it makes the world of difference to be able to share these things!!! all my top 50 friends

Kathie, I am sure that the right house will come along for you, you just wait and see! There is obviously a reason that the other one wasn't meant for you at this time, just be patient and I am sure you will be rewarded in the end.
Vick, I hope Jorja is feeling better and sleeps well tonight, so that you can catch up on some much needed rest too! (And what a shame about having to park at Spotlight...LOL!!!)

I really should be heading off to bed soon myself, Brielle and I are having a catch up with our mum's group in the morning, so no doubt I will need lots of energy to chase her from one end of the park to the other!

Well today is our wedding anniversary! We have been married for 11 happy years today.......On this day 11 years ago I remember trying to get ready and having lots of people "helping" me do that!!! All I wanted to do was get to the church, but oh no they decided to carry out the tradition of the bride being late!!!! I was ready an hour early, the car was there and hour early.......no they said we can not leave, they are not ready at the church yet!!!!!! So they detained me for half an hour.....naughty girls!!! But in the end its all been worth it and I wouldn't swap the last 11 years for anything!!!

I love house painting!!! Not keen on the prep needed but love painting!!! Oh except the ceilings.....get sore back and neck!!

Oh Kathie, am not sure how I missed this post this morning (sorry) but happy anniversary to you and Pete!!! I hope you have had a lovely day and that you got a chance to spend some quality time relecting on your years together.
We have just finished BBQ dinner at my place, and now I'm showered, in my PJs and ready to SCRAP!!! Challenge 3 is looking tempting...

This reminds me of a cute story a mother of one of my students told me.
She asked her son what they should get me for World teacher's Day and he quickly replied, " Something to do with crapping!" She asked him what he meant and he said," You know she is into that crapping stuff you do!" Oh boy did she have to work hard not to laugh!

That really put a smile on my dial, actually I just about fell off my chair laughing....I found that so funny that I read it out to Pete as well and he thought it was funny too!!!!
You know I come up and then I'd leave and you would still have to do the painting!!!!

lol now that is funny...my partner often calls my scrap room, oh the crap room...he keeps threatening to make a plague to put on the door...V's Crap Room...now ladies doesn't that have a ring to it!!!!!

Congrats on your anniversay Kath...that is a long time...my parents' 40th anniversay is on Nov 30th, and well I can't say wedding anniversary cause they never got married, have lived together and quite happily

Thanks girls for wishing us a happy anniversay!! We didn't get to spend much of the day together, but that is ok. We are planning an overnight trip away without the girls shortly, we haven't done much of that and its just nice to do something special just the 2 of us!!!
