Gift Card Purse


Materials:
A 16.5cm x 11cm piece of double sided patterned Paper
A 10 cm x 3cm piece of co-ordinating pp or cardstock
15cm piece of matching ribbon
bling
thin double-sided tape no wider than 6mm

Instructions:
Cut a rectangle of pp 14cm x 11cm. Fold it in half so you have a rectangle that is 7cm x 11cm.

On the fold line (the top), measure in 1/2cm from each side, then cut from there to the bottom corners, so the top is ½ cm smaller on both sides then the bottom. It should be starting to resemble a purse, see pic:

With your 10cm x 3 cm piece of pp or cs, measure in 5cms on one of the long sides, then cut from the corners to this point to make a triangle.

Attach the triangle to the front of the purse along the folded edge. Draw stitching lines all around the edges of the purse and stick a rhinestone (or what ever decoration you want) on the point of the triangle. See pic:

With the remainder of the pp (2.5cm x 11cm), cut it down 1 cm so it measures 2.5c x 10cm, then attach using the thin double-sided tape to the inside of the purse so you can see it when you open the front flap and you can insert a gift card into it. See pic:

Punch a hole in the top left corner of the purse, and thread your ribbon threw, tying the two ends together like a purse strap.[/size]

Add any other decorations you may want.

And well ah.., you now have a gorgeous little purse that doubles as a gift card holder!! This is what I will be using at Xmas time as we usually end up giving lots of vouchers. Obviously the fly buys card is just to show how it will look!! J

And if you liked this little purse, I have also designed a little gift card wallet for the men in our lives!! J You can give it a try if you would like!! J

Materials:
Double-sided PP measuring

20cm x 7cm[/size]

10cm x 3 cm

3.5cm x 2cm

thin double-sided tape no wider than 6mm

Instructions:

Fold the largest piece of pp in half to make a wallet shape measuring 10cm x 7cm. Round the two corners on the front and back at the opening.[/size]

On the inside, stick the 10cm x 3cm pp along the bottom edge of the wallet on the right side. (If you want two gift cards, place one on each side) Round the corner to match the outside.[/size]

With the 3.5cm x 2cm pp, stick it to the back of the wallet to use as the ‘latch’. Place it in roughly in the middle of the back about 7mil in from the edge, so it will wrap around to the front of the wallet.

Make two slips in the front of the wallet for the small piece to slip under to hold shut. (Make sure you only cut the front layer and not the back!! J ) You may need to bend the ‘strap’ so it will thread threw.

Draw ‘Stitching’ around all the edges and decorate any way you would like!! J

Hope that all makes sense and you can all use these at Christmas or threw out the year!! J
