What's Cooking...??

Oh i almost forgot i finished off the pineapple fluff from last night for dessert and the kids had ice-cream!

im having spag bol as i type.... (i had work and only just got home)

last night we had shepards pie (YUM!!)

tonight will be some kind of beef casserole - the kind where you toss everything into the slow cooker, forget about it and rush to pull it together at dinner time Hmmmm.. that's my usual slow cooker style!!! LOL

We are having beef tacos for tea tonight!! I go for all the food i know the kids will eat when Matts at work cos other wise i am trying to cook, dish up and make them eat all on my own !! lol!! Not fun!!

Mmmmm not sure about tonight. Wednesday's are usually whatever I can make to quickest by 5.30pm Probably tuna pasta as it's quick, easy and the kids love it.
I love tacos too Vic but Matt and the kids don't why didn't you cook them for me when I came to visit

I had unexpected house guests last night, so we ended up going and grabbing a couple of BBQ chickens from the shop.
Tonigth we will be having what I was going to make last night - chicken, bacon & sundried tomato pasta bake.

Sounds yummy Sue but leave the the sd tomatoes out of mine thanks. What time will you be serving

LOL, i didn't know you liked them!! Did i actually cook anything while you were here?? lol!! I know we had matt's dad's lasagna one night!!

Matt likes the soft totilla kind of tacos, so i get the soft and hard pack now!! I get the hard ones, matt gets the soft ones and the kids get a bit of both!!

probably about 6.15 or so, and yes, there is going to be garlic bread too.

Sounds like us...I like the soft ones, Shannon likes the hard ones and Brielle eats some of each!

OMG - I sooooooo LOVE sour cream!!! Think we might have to have baked spud with bacon, coleslaw, onion, cheese and sour cream for dinner tomorrow Thanks for the idea Sue LOL

Casserole here is coming together itself I'll put through some gravy mix once it hits 6pm so it'll be nice and ready when Nathan gets home We've just cooked some pancakes to have sprinkled liberally with lemon and sugar for afternoon tea (LOVE the fact we have a over-productive lemon tree in our backyard) and leftovers for school recess.

Hey Treens i should come grab some lemons from you at some stage so i can make lemon meringue pie!! Mmmmm yummy!!

Oooh yummo!!! Feel free!! Seriously, the tree was covered in lemons when we moved in - we filled 4 - yes FOUR clothes baskets with the fruit off it that was spoiling!!! It's all growing back!!!

Okay for dinner tonight we're being really really bad and having KFC...


dd asked so sweetly this morning during breakfast that we just couldn't deny her plea...


"Excuse me Mummy and Daddy, do you think that because it's such a special day today that we could have something really special for dinner tonight?"


It's Brisbane Show Day public holiday today and she thinks it's a very special day because you don't have to go to school on a Wednesday!!!


I guess that's a big deal when you're six!!!
And in her mind there is NOTHING more special to eat than KFC...

Well, I've just cooked Mexican Chicken... it is a fave, but no one is hungry because we ate late lunch!

im too lazy to cook tonight lol... so we had left over spag

Well I made a total pig of myself today at work, I ate half a bag of allens lollies, almost a whole bag of clinker, then a mud muffin and felt sooooooooo sick, surprise surprise . Then I had a tuna pie and a can of coke, great diet for an unborn baby.

Funnily enough I didn't feel like anything for dinner so I grabbed a frozen tuna pasta out of the freezer for the kids and left Matt to fend for himself.

Hmmmmm - not sure that you can blame the pregnancy for the nausea if you are eating like this....LOL. I worked today and decided that we really do sit alot and I would get fat quickly - then proceeded to scoff down a packet of burger rings and some potatoe wedges......yeppum - I will get fat.

Tonight we had pasta with a plain tomatoe based sauce (homemade by DH - my fav), garlic bread and a nice salad...yummo. Cause I got home so late, the extent of my cooking was buying the stuff for the salad....gotta love that!!

LMAO Shaz, you know i hate cooking!! Our kitchen is in the centre of the house, and pretty much just has 4 stone walls, so it isn't much fun being in the kitchen!! I do however love cooking desserts, so it would be me making the lemon meringue pie!!
