What's Cooking...??

Post by Charmane on Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:15 pm

I was thinking, seeing as it's about "what's cooking" we should all tell everyone what we are cooking each night Wink starting from tomorrow of course Smile

We're planning on a NON-takeaway week Smile so all healthy cooking here.... that's the plan anyway Wink

Oohhhh I was only thinking tonight about how good it would be if all those ladies who are organised and use slow cookers would post up the recipes of what they cooked. So Charm are we just saying what we are eating or are people going to post up their recipes.

LOL vicki Smile

Pancakes made and meat defrosted for tomorrow... we're having corned beef - done in the slow cooker, I'm tossing up whether to do it traditionally or with ginger beer (so yummy and cuts out the saltiness!!) I'm thinking the latter as the last one we had was a bit too salty...

On the menu for this evening at our place...
Chicken Kievs with fried rice
dd will demand I "magic" hers into chicken nuggets...
and at least with the fried rice I can sneak in vegies without her realising it...
she's going through a "phase" at the moment...
"no thanks Mum... that's not what my mouth is feeling like eating..."
... grrrrrrr!!!

We are having plain old boiled carrots and peas and potatoes (haven't decided what I am doing with them yet - maybe mashed) and then I am going to make some home made crumbed lamb cutlets.......YUMMO! Fattening - but yummy!
