Monopoly Basics!

Monopoly basics:
So you've probably been wondering how our monopoly game will be run. The game will officially start on the 7th of October and finish at the beginning of December. Sign up will begin from September 14th.

Although our monopoly game has similar aspects to the actual board game, there are differences too. Our game is a non elimination game. I.E. you will not be eliminated from the game for running out of money, or buying bad real estate! lol! Participants can join in the game at any time. However you are encouraged to complete as many of the challenges as possible to increase your chances in the major prize draw.

Our SBT50 Monopoly board has been split up into 8 sections/weeks, with 5 different challenges per week. Each week of challenges relates to a different area of scrapbooking! When you sign in, you will 'roll the dice' 8 times, to select the challenges you will complete during the game. New weekly challenges will be released each Saturday, beginning Saturday October 5. You will have 9 days to complete each challenge.

Prizes, the awarding of tickets and rules:

There will be individual prizes for each week of the Monopoly game, plus a prize for the GO challenge. The individual challenges will be voted by the GDT and the DT and the winner will be awarded the prize specified in the challenge write up.

The major prize aspect of the game is based on a dollars/tickets system.

If you complete the individual weekly challenge within the given time frame you will be awarded $200 monopoly dollars / 2 tickets.

If you complete the challenge after the given time frame but still manage to upload your layout before the end of the Monopoly game, you will be awarded $100 monopoly dollars /1 ticket.

Entries for the GO (sign up) challenge need to be uploaded within the specified time frame to be eligible for a ticket. If you get to do this within the time frame then $100 monopoly dollars / 1 ticket will be awarded.

At the end of the game all tickets will go into a barrel draw. The 3 major prizes-1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be drawn at random from the barrel.
