Re: Stop 3 - Antartica!!
I loved this stop!
I met the criteria in the following ways:
1. white space - check, it's blue lol
2. cool colour scheme - blue/purple, blue, blue/green, including an icy fAntsy pin
3. texture - texture paste behind the photo and the in the top right
I also used some other fabulous handmade embellies by D-lish Scraps, Purple Pumpkin, Charms Creations and A Lil Somethin.
Close ups on my blog if you're interested http://ali-chaosandmayhem.blogspot.com.au/

Re: Stop 3 - Antartica!!
Race Stop 3. Antarctica - Wow, loving all the "cool" layouts, such inspiration.
Here is my Layout, which includes all three of the criteria. ( I swear it's square, something in my editing has caused a dodgy photo)
1. white space - Yes plenty of that.
2. cool colour scheme - All shades of blue, through to grey and a little white!!
3. texture - be it texture paste, crackle medium, scrunched pp etc - I have covered this in many ways, I started with some edge texture, roughing up and tears around the patterned paper. Then I stamped and embossed the arrows background. I have also used textured chipboard alphas, fabric misted arrows, there is also a large sequin that is embossed, it was hard to show the texture but I have tried.
I have also used a few items from my SBT50 Amazing Race kit, the perfectly "icy" coloured pin from this legs sponsor a little bit 'fANTsy' pin. I have also used the cute little kissing charm that was in my kit also.
Check out my blog post for close ups and detail shots.

Thank you for the inspiration, looking forward to the next challenge.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look and if you commented THANKS again, it's much appreciated.

Re: Stop 3 - Antartica!!
Firstly I made my own pin to represent an Icicle
White space or Negative space - check
Cool color Scheme - I went with shades of Blue
For texture I misted some snowflakes and added them to the page.
I also cut out an ice berg and painted some shadows to add dimension. The Penguin is a cut out, and he is screaming.... Help! me I can't swim..... lol
I hand made the 'Polar-roo (a feltie polar bear with marsupial tendencies), her cub is carried in a neat little pouch. The Polar-roo was easy to make, I got the pattern from the book, 'Felties' by Nelly Pailloux. The Polar-roo is holding a Photo of my niece Kiera's feet, from when she was a new born.
I had so much fun with this challenge...... thanks Anthea!
You can view a close up of my hand stitched Panda-roo on my blog at http://shazzacraft.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/icy-cold-feet.html
