September Embellishment Swap - Anything Material

PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP

Here is the sign-up thread for the September handmade embellishment swap...our theme is 'Anything Material.'

The way this swap will work is you will make a set of 8 embellishments (all the same), enough for one for each person in the group. (Eg, if 8 people in the swap, you will make 8 embellishments.)

These are to be no larger than 2 to 3 inches in size. You can make any type of embellishment you wish as long as is something made out of material, is able to be posted in an A5 envelope, and is something that is suitable to be used on a layout or card. If it doesn't fit in an A5 envelope then chances are it is too big and will need to be made smaller. Please do not send anything larger than an A5 envelope as the postman will not leave it in my mail box. It is a nightmare dragging 3 kids into the post office to get the envelopes so only A5 please, no bigger, no smaller

Once you have completed your embellies, you will send them all to Me (Billie), then I will send you back one of everyone's embellies (including your own). You will also need to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Please ensure your envelope is only A5 in size and that you send sufficient stamps to cover postage!!! (Please PM me if you don't have my address!)

Embellishments will need to be completed and sent to Me, (Billie) by the end of Semptember.

Sign-ups for this swap will remain open until Monday 5th September, after which time I will confirm groups and final numbers.

So it's ANYTHING with material? Ie... material self cover buttons okay? Or fabric yo yo flowers?

Yep anything using material that you would use on a layout.

Yes, if you sign up for both groups, you make 2 different lots of embellishments!!

Can we just split them into groups of 6?

thanks Vicki, I thought that was the case but just wanted to make sure I'm happy to sign up for the second group if you need the numbers!

I'm happy to sign up to both groups if someone who only wants to do one embellie wants to go to the second group.

If that makes sense...

I'm assuming those that signed up to group 1 and 2 want to make 2 lots so they get 2 lots back so if you want to join it will be one group of 8 and one group of 5. Unless we get more sign up but we really should finalise so we can get making.

Shaz i put a notice up on the blog as well as fb about the swap yesty, so hopefully we will get a few more peeps to fill group 2! I think we just aim to make 8 for each group, then if the groups don't fill we get our extras back! We are meant to be making items that we are happy to use on our own layouts after all, so it shouldn't matter if we have extras!!
