Help with Title ideas

Post by AuraScrap on Thu Apr 22, 2010 1:05 pm

I've been having trouble with ideas for titles for a while - some of them have kind of come out "forced" (but then I'm very critical of my work). How do you guys come up with titles for your LO's?
I'm having trouble with one I'm doing for Julies mystery step by step challenge. The pic is of my friends 2 small kids sitting against the brick wall of the school building.Any ideas?

I looooooove coming up with titles / challenge names, etc.

For me, titles depend on what is going on in the pic and also what I intend to journal about. I love to play on words when I think up my titles.
Here are a few suggestions, but it is hard without seeing the pic...

- "Remember the days of the old school yard"
- "School's Out"
- "Another brick in the wall" (You could even use some Pink Floyd lyrics from the song to tie it in.)
- "Backs to the Wall"
- "Lean on Me" (if they are leaning back against the wall, then you could journal about their bond as siblings?)

If you really struggle with what to use in future, sometimes you can try using simple "power" words for a one word title with punch, such as love, cherish, dream, etc.

I was thinking - "we dont need an education" .. LOL..

I come up with my titles too looking at what i want to convey too Sue. I really try and get a sense of what is happening in the photo too.

Sometimes I just an initial, eg I did a l/o of my sister and all I used was her initial, S. Sometimes I leave the layout for a few days before coming up with a title.
