Challenge 3: It was important to me...

For my challenge this month, i decided to reflect on details from a major event that has happened in my life, that being the birth of my first child, my daughter!! Now obviously the topic of your layout can be anything you would like, as long as it looks at a major event from your life.

Your layout must also include at least 100 words of journalling. This layout is all about the story behind the pictures. We quite often forget about the real details of events and just remember the who, where, and why, so now you need to put your thinking caps on and tell us the real details, not just what happened, but how you felt during the event!!

I really like the subject you chose, so am thinking I might do the same one, as I havent scrapped the story of Brielle's birth either. (Hope thats OK?)

Oh dear, I don't know if I am going to be able to journal 100 words . Great LO Vicki and love the journalling - I really believe it is all about the journalling.

LOL Ant, i thought i would struggle with 100 words too, but i ended up with 400!!

LOL. After writing 6 or 7 3500 word assignments last year.....100 is hard......I wouldn't know how to stop!

BTW - with the comments from everyone here I have been giving serious thought to writing a book - my life story. Just for my family and friends....as a hobby type thing. How many words do you think that would take?????

oh Vicki don't you know what my hormones are like at the moment I'm going to have to get off the computer and go to bed now cause I can't read anymore through all these tears. I remember the day Jorja was born and, oh bugger you I can't see the keyboard, I just scrolled back up for another look

just read it all vicki - what a gorgeous birth story!!! hmmm maybe i should do ryarne's.... i've scrapped most of the birth photos.... but didn't add journalling.... might do that

I really wanted to get this story down for Jorja because it was a day of total rollercoaster emotions!! You go in all prepared to have a natural birth, even tho you have NO idea what to expect, then you are told you can't do that and you just feel totally scared about what you are going to have to go thru!! I did however have a very quick recovery, and then went on to have DS naturally (against my doctors orders lol!) as it was something i just had to do!!

A lovely story Vicki and a lovely layout. I have come to believe that it doesn't matter how these beautiful wanted children are born but that they are born as healthy as possible.

Thanks for the challenge Vick - you made me journal something I had been meaning to do for almost 2 years!

Oh Sue, I just told Vicki off for making me bawl and now you go ahead and do it. These darn hormones, I cried more reading yours. I like the idea of writing it as a story, I might have to do that when I finally get around to doing my babies. Yours and Vicki's are both so beautiful, I've got the warm and fuzzies now Babies are the most precious things in this world, I can't wait to meet my 3rd in 5 months. I have got so many ideas from this website and although I haven't been doing much lately because I've been a bit yuk, I can't wait to get back into it and try some new things in my layouts.
