Do you and your family have any special Easter traditions that you follow every year?
Eat fish on Good Friday? Go camping to the same place? Have a special Easter Sunday brunch?

What do you do to celebrate Easter???

we usually just have easter egg hunt for the kids on Sunday Morning.... they also get Eggs from Easter bunny.... we go to church.... that's about it....

this year we have my Aunty and her friend coming over so it'll be a bit more interesting.... AND it's Harmony's Birthday on Sunday too.... so a little more exciting than usual... hahah....

In the past it's been me, mum, my cousin & my nephew but seeing my cousin & nephew no longer have anything to do with us it's just me & mum this year. We get each other a chocolate rabbit & then wait for the easter eggs to be reduced & we buy to our little hearts content What are your Easter traditions? Icon_biggrin

We don't eat meat on Good Friday - but we always have a nice seafood dinner. Although not strictly 'religious', we still like to remember the real reason for Easter and what it is all about and talk about it with the kids. We are usually out camping for the whole affair, but the last few years it hasn't worked out that way (due to work schedules) and we have actually had Easter at home. Regardless of where we are, Easter Bunny always finds us and there is always a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny during the day while the kids are out for a walk and following that, an Easter Egg hunt. Easter is always spent with my family and this year we are having a nice Easter brunch together cause I am working all weekend. When I am working I always bring an egg for each of my patients. Hot cross buns are also a favourite for the Easter season. Easter Sunday is also the end of Lent, which for this year, means I can once again eat chocolate and DS can once again play his playstation. DH once again can eat grilled cheese sangas????? (not sure if giving them up really counts though). Regardless of everyones traditions and beliefs, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Easter and that you get at least a little chocolate to induge in. Hugs all round.

When my DH was young, he always followed a trail of bunny droppings (little easter eggs) from his bedroom to the easter nest (rolled up towel) of easter eggs on easter morning, so we have decided to continue on with that!! Smile

Other than that, we had prawns for lunch today and fish and chips for tea!! Smile
