1 - PP scrap approx 12" x approx 2-4"
1 - PP scrap approx half a sheet.
1 - length of ribbon 13" long

Alphas (stickers, chip does not matter)

STEP 2.
That PP you just stuck down is now your photo matt!
Attach your photo onto the PP leaving a few mm of PP showing at the bottom and approx 1 - 2 cm of PP showing on the right.
* I have used a horizontal photo. If yours is vertical that is OK!

STEP 3.
Cut your other PP into a strip 12" long and approx 2" - 3" high.
Attach this strip across your page so it touches both the left and right sides. This strip will sit at the bottom of your photo and cover the few mm's of PP left.
* If you have decorative scissors or a punch you may like to use it on the bottom of this strip. You could also scallop it, rip it or just leave it straight!

STEP 4
Now for the ribbon!
Run it right across the 12" PP strip... stick it down, you can do it!
* You may like to tie your ribbon in a knot, gather it, staple or sew it. Mine is just stuck down with good ol' double sided tape. If you do want to play with it, try and keep the left side free, it may get covered soon

STEP 5
To the left of your photo, you should have some empty space.
It is in this space I want you to arrange your embellies.
*I used flowers, but depending on your theme you could use stars, buttons, arrows, chipboard shapes, cut out PP, brads, what ever works for you!
This cluster of embellishments should start on the 12" PP strip and move up over the photo matt you first stuck down.
*I also incorporated my journal tag in my cluster of goodies.

STEP 6 - The final step!
You have made it to the end!
All that is left to do is add your title above the photo and you are done!
I hope you find the instructions clear, any questions just ask!
Hopefully you have a page that was quick to do and that you love...or at least like
Thanks for having a go!

Re: Julie's Mystery Challenge Step by Step!
Please DO NOT upload your entries until Feb 28th!! You will have the whole day to upload your layout then, thus giving everybody a chance to have a go at the instructions with out having seen what it looks like already!!
Re: Julie's Mystery Challenge Step by Step!
OK, there is now a folder in the gallery where layouts for this challenge can be loaded. You can find it HERE
Remember that you have until midnight tonight (Sunday 28th) to upload your entries!

Here is my take on Julie's challenge: http://www.scrapbookingtop50.com.au/gallery2/showphoto.php?photo=232&cat=527
If you haven't given this a go yet, remember you have until midnight to load your entry, but don't go cheating by looking in the gallery before you start!!

Re: Julie's Mystery Challenge Step by Step!
I'm half way through attempting this one (it's my first scraping effort since January when my mojo rolled under the desk with it's pet dust bunnies refusing to come out) . I must say I'm having a lot of fun & can't wait to finish it
Could we please have more of these step by step mystery challenges

So glad it has helped with the mojo loss...
I love these challenges!!!!! Not to hard on the head, but you can still make them your own. I am actually googling some to take away on the weekend, not finding many, yet...
can't wait to see it!

So how is the LO going??? Did you manage to finish it???
We are all dying to hear if this has managed to coax your mojo well and truly out of hiding and see the end result!
Re: Julie's Mystery Challenge Step by Step!
LOL Sue I intend on finishing it tomorrow..........I'll take a pic & upload it onto the puter but then that's where the trouble with getting it in here begins. I'm not a very technical person

LOL, it really isn't hard to upload here, and somebody should be around to talk you thru it all!!
Re: Julie's Mystery Challenge Step by Step!
that'd be great Guess what?! I finished the layout this morning........thanks to the instructions etc it looks better than my first attempt with the same photo - it was just a crappy layout to be honest & not enough thought behind it. But this one worked out nicely.
