Hi there HI

My name is Karen and I'm from the Blue Mountains. Scrapbooking is probably my second favourite hobby, my first favourite being painting.

I like making scrapbooks out of all my holiday photos, but I'm way behind, I'm working on my Hawaii trip in 2008 and still have New Zealand 2009 to do!

I include in the scrapbook my printed out travel diary, so it's like a whole book.

I came here so I could chat to other scrapbookers and ask a few questions about it, I'm still learning!

Nice to meet you, and I'll see you around in the forums somewhere! afro

Hi Karen welcome to SBT50!

Your holiday albums sound fabulous! What a great idea to include the travel diary in the album too.

You've come to the right place to chat and ask questions. Everyone here is very friendly.

make sure to check out the challenges. The july ones have just been put up yesterday. They are a great inspiration and have fab prizes to be won.

Also the cyber crops each month are soo much fun.

Your travel albums sound great, I only wish I had trips like that to scrap! LOL

I only wish I was as organised as you, with my holiday albums. Last holiday we went on, I took a pre-bought travel diary with me, and didn't even touch it! I don't mind so much for me, but we took our 4y.o. and our 5m.o. and I wish for them I had been bothered!

I think it'll be a while before my work is good enough for challenges!

Tamara, with two young kids I think you have a very valid reason why you didn't get time to write in your travel diary!

Hawaii and NZ were definitely great trips, but I'll have to save, save, save to go overseas again. Meantime, I've been lucky to take a few short holidays within Australia, but haven't scrapbooked those, don't know if I will.

My aunty has always made scrapbooks out of her holiday snaps and travel diaries, she was my big influence!
